So do I... but do you know what I really love about old trucks? The no-nonsense way you can fix one in an afternoon and get where you need to go the next day. That's why actual "truck guys" love them. This isn't that. This is some rich guy's play thing.

Agreed. I’m a GM guy, but my all-time favorite truck bodystyle is this one, followed closely by the square (‘73-‘87) Chevy/GMC, with the ‘92-96/7 (‘97 for the 3/4- and 1-tons) Fords a slightly more distant third and late square (‘8?-‘92? ‘93?) Dodges an even more slightly distant fourth. Love an old, blocky, purposeful pickup body. I tend to like the fancier old trucks, but more base, stripper, work models in newer bodystyles. A clean, low-mile, older truck is the muscle car of the 2020s, as evidenced by their inappropriately high prices. No damn WAY is a ‘90s GM gas truck worth 15 grand unless it’s a Sy/Ty or a 454SS, but they go for that all too often.

@@guyfawkesuThe1 Um... I'll give you a secret. Ready? It's a huge one!! Don't buy an EV right now if you need to tow every day 100+ miles... Shocker, right? HOLY CRAP!? YOU HAVE A CHOICE?? For 99% of everyone else who doesn't tow heavy loads 100+ miles on the daily, an EV is just fine. "But what if I want to tow over the weekends or go on a road trip" ah yes, the "what if" scenarios. That's how you buy everything, right? For the 0.1% of the times... Then wait to buy an EV. Shocking once more, right? Just like gas engines of old, EVs will continue to improve. I bet if you bought a 1950s Ford, you couldn't get anywhere close to the towing and gas range of a 2022's F-150. That's simply technology improving. EVs will only get better from here.

One for the ignition, one for the door and one for the trunk AND the driver's door did NOT have a keyhole. That was a safety "feature" so you wouldn't open the door into traffic after parking. Same with my 2005 Jeep TJ w/6pd manual and the beloved 4.0 straight six. There are AMC stickers on it. I LOVE that about it. It's also a straightforward, simple, and extremely rugged Jeep with its roots in AMC. Heck, even my 2019 Toyota Tundra, which is essentially the same truck that came out in '07. You open the hood and you see a big ole USA V8 in there with loads of room around it. It's got a regular battery sitting up front just like the old days. I really value that and refuse to own ANY turbo platform, and I couldn't care less about that it (their replacement turbo V6) has more torque/hp and only slightly more mpg. Sounds like crap. I've got the TRD Pro dual exhaust and man, it sounds like the good old days. Sucks gas like the good old days too! Thankfully they gave it a 38 gallon tank, BUT, it runs on 87 octane.
