I don't know why people keep posting it sounds like a Cummins. True most inline 6 diesels around the 6-8 liter size sound pretty similar. People forget the 466 has been around a lot longer then the B cummins. Had Ford installed the DT-360 in their pickups and developed it, things may be a lot different now. The 12 valve 5.9 from the early 90's and the DT-360 are pretty comparable - even the same injection pump and stock ratings.

DT466 is everything a cummins wishes it could be.

Dt466 seems like they have no problem with lots of rpm

@Trebuer22 it is a dt466 tractor motor.. they built the frame from the ground up the radiator is in the bed.. you need to do your homework and if you think im wrong ill put pics up here of the motor

@MrGritstoner well we all love trucks and this is just fun to us and this has been around alot longer then rock crawling lol its like rodeo for trucks pretty much. its more of a hobby then a sport in my opinion.. that truck is worth 60 grand or more and has 1500hp and over 1000 pounds feet of torque so people really get into it ha they get money for winning and stuff to though. people do it all over the united states they have a world championship truck pulls to.

@popatittyshit its my brothers friends truck.... it does not have 2000hp there's trucks that he pulls with that have 2000hp and alot more.. there also 300k trucks and built in a diesel shop.. this truck is around 70k and he built it in his back yard. and he beats thoughs other trucks sometimes to

@fordpride101 guess u didnt see my last comment. I read the discription after i posted the first time. I thought u ment the bought it that way or just trew a motor in there and welded it to the truck frame. Sorry man ur right :)

This is one of the baddest trucks ever to Grace KZfaq, but its definitly not a HighBoy. It has a 79 grill, the last HighBoys were made in '77, they changed the suspension in '78 and that made them sit a little lower than previous models " hence the nickname highboy to the '67-'77 models". Even if its just an updated grill, the suspension and frame are custome so sorry, No HighBoy. That being said.... Im very very Jealous
