I have installed over 100 JS eq's paired up with Jenson 6x9 in the early 80's ----- 80-83

These older Jet Sound equalizers were built very well and sounded excellent, I never had any issues a reliable brand for sure. Back then all you needed was a pair of good 6x9's and a equalizer/booster and you were set. Thanks for your comment

17 yrs old I had 2 JSL121's with a Pioneer head unit and Pioneer TS box speakers. I worked at Perfect Sound Car Audio in Cal. at the time. That system was crap! Zero base! Then a rep. from Tempe Arizona came by. I told the store owner this is a must, and BOOM the craze began! The JSL121 were cool though with the opposing green led's power flashers. Looked awesome.

It uses a common ground. It wasn't a BTL setup back then.

@@RareorVintageCarAudio thanks for the reply, if you come across another jet sound equalizer, id be interested i have a 1969 AMC AMX and im kinda stuck in that 70s to 80s muscle car thing . I need to replace the belts in the cassette deck, do you have a good suggestion for the square belts? It seams like most out there are not good quality.

I had a JS-70 30w 7 band had needle meters I bought in 1980, on the hunt to buy 1 NOW lol. Could you point me in a website to buy, I'm a 57yo tecKnoTard please & thank you.

Older equalizers are getting hard to find but they still come up for sale now and then on eBay. Thanks for your comment.
