When I started installing car radios is when this equipment was still current. One thing I didn't like about the older equipment was even though you could get it loud there was a common problem with harsh upper mid-range/lower treble frequencies. I love how modern equipment sounds good even with everything flat but that older stuff required a lot of equalizer tweaking just to take the harshness out.

I agree some of the entry-level amps and equalizers had that issue and a lot higher distortion. If you could afford higher end equipment like ADS, Audiomobile Monolithic, AudioControl, Nakamichi, Linear power, Zapco and many other brands, you could build a very nice audiophile car audio system that sounded as good as anything made today. Alphasonik was considered a very good brand in the 80's most of their amplifiers were built n the US or Korea, they had great built quality and always sounded excellent. Thanks for your comment

@@RareorVintageCarAudio I ran an Alphasonik amp back in the mid 80’s. It was 125x2 and had them hooked up to my 2 10 inch and 1 12 in subs. It was okay. I had Nakamichi for the mids and highs. I think the first set of speakers for my brother were those 6x9 Sparkomatics. 😂🤣. He didn’t have very long.

I have 2 of those and the 100 W subwoofer amp. And alpha sonic 65 × 2 AM. Do you know anybody that buys older amplifiers? I have 6 lanzar opti drive are amps.

I would try eBay. There's a lot of people interested in older car audio equipment. Lanzar opti amps are nice. You shouldn't have any problem selling them.
