The Briggs Monza was an Australian built car. It was built by K @ A Engineering for John Roberts racing. The Commodore was a scratch built sports sedan. It was campaigned by Tony Parkinson and then for many years By Bob Jolly. Moffat Monza was in the hands of Paul Jones by this time.

The only Monza K&A worked with was the Jeff Barnes car. The Briggs car was originally from the US

chrisdobiedotcom.....in answer to your question.... 1) The ex-Group C Commodore is Warren Cullen's 1980 Bathurst car, not the car he shared with Jones in 1981. 2) Not sure if the black Monza (driven by Adelaide's John Briggs) is the ex-Moffat car.Briggs did race one for years but not 100% sure on the Moff connection. 3) The Ford Coupe (an XC) is definitely the ex-Jimmy Richards Big M car. And the Merc is a 4.2L twin turbo Chev that in 1984 was putting out over 1,000hp

Just some added info. The Briggs Monza and the old Moffat Monza were different cars. Moffat's was a Dekon built in the USA and imported here while the Briggs version was built by K&A Engineering in Adelaide who also built the Tony Edmonson Alfetta and the Veskanda sports car.

Hi Chris. The John Briggs' Monza came from NZ from a guy called Red Dawson. It was made my Lee Dykstra's DeKon operation in the US of A and raced as a factory car before being sold. They were built as an IMSA GT car. Moffat's car also came fro DeKon
