@@woodsandbarclay Once you understand the "system", it's relatively simple. I have replaced the center pod, but usually, I am too lazy to take the dash off! Question. What does the black temperature module do (beside the silver module you replaced)? Does it control the signal to mono valve/control push button module for the temperature out the vents?

@@woodsandbarclay I haven't change the center pod without removing the dash. I have removed the dash to replace the pod, but now too lazy! Years ago, several friends said it could be done, BUT they were wrong/bragging. It cannot! Being too lazy to remove the dash, I disconnected the rod to the flap leaving the center vents open all the time. Not correct of course, but it does feel great to have heat out all of the vents in the winter!

All of those components are accessible by removing the glove box with the exception of the center vent pod. That's really the only pod that needs to be replaced with the dash out all the other ones are replaceable with the dash in ;)

Yes some of the parts from the 116 were actually carried all the way through to the 123 and 126. The 116 is the original gangsta hahaha

That's a common problem. First you need to check your mono valve to see if the boot is torn. In order to replace the vacuum actuator for your Center vents you need to remove the dash. You could also just pry open the center vents.

It's not that complicated once you understand how it works.

Yes the old ones can actually be refurbished and sent off to be prepared sometimes we're able to do minor repairs here in the shop.
