Well, it must be said that what you said is not completely unrealistic since the book says that even at a distance like 50km, while remaining on tip one (UK) a passport is necessary. Despite this, which is very plausible, the protagonist finds images depicting the former leaders of the Ignosev visiting New York approximately in 1980. However, it is a nice theory that leads us to assume that Eurasia in reality is nothing more than an alliance between the Stalinist USSR which, like the IRL, would be ultra-defamed and the countries of what we today call NATO but which for them could perhaps have been Pan Europe. Anyway, great theory.

Beautiful video. However, I would like to point out that 1984 was written in 1949, and therefore WW2 was already over. Furthermore, the regimes of Eastasia, Eurasia and Oceania were established, according to what the book states, around the 1960s. The one that the book traces most is that of IGNOSEV for obvious reasons, which clearly says that all the books preceding the 1960 revolution were destroyed. The book then indicates that in the 1950s someone referred to in the book as ''We shouldn't have trusted them'' will drop the atomic bomb on Wessex. Then it must be said that technically the ideology of China or Eastasia, if you prefer, is the cult of death, a corrupt form of Chinese philosophy, therefore not of Moist origin. Despite these inconsistencies I must say that the video is very well made, keep it up.

Realistically, moving forwards from the final outcome, East Asia would not be able to keep up with the other two powers and would likely be reduced either to a buffer zone or partitioned, as INGSOC and Eurasia hold an uncontested dominance over the world oil supply. INGSOC has the US, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, and the Guyanas, while Eurasia has half the Persian Gulf, the Caspian, and Norway. East Asia has nothing by comparison.

@@CobetMargatroid All of the ideologies in the world of 1984 are the exact same, just with different flavoring. There is no meaningful difference between any of them besides surface level aesthetics. It's even possible that INGSOC actually controls the entire world and the other factions don't even exist since we know INGSOC fires rockets at their own cities.

@@hellenicboi14 Exactly, the whole point of narration is Lovecraftian level horror of "nothing have a meaning anymore", and O'Brien would just casually tell a real story? Everything has a chance of being a lie, even the nuclear war and all this constant war. Either way, even if everything O'Brien had told was true, it does not change the fact that truth also has no meaning; three countries with literally same living conditions, same totalitarian rule, same ideology, same people-resources are essentially ruled by the same elite who would end up in a better position no matter what other side does.

More like true example of a 'contested zone'. They asked many times to join USSR, and Soviet forces of Transbaikal military district were stationed here, but USSR refused each time due to fear of provoking chinese conflict. It's just like with those matches on the map in East Europe, a certain degree of influence but not much. I don't think USSR would have saved Mongolia if China would truly commit to returning it back.

This was a really awesome video, friend. :) Believe it or not, actually, it may be that Oceania never existed beyond the isles of Britain and Ireland themselves, and that Eurasia and Eastasia never existed. That the world was still the same sane place between Nato and the Warsaw Pact as real life. A video I saw about the lore from another mapper explained that after the collapse of the Soviets in 1991, Nato began a full invasion of Britain and Ireland to liberate the people there, restore Democracy, and destroy Ingsoc for good.

Democracy is fake. It is obvious by the fact that make pretend elections make people believe they have a choice when they don’t. Democracy and freedom is just a destructive excuse to take power and invade other countries, you are not liberating anything. When you base a system on the people, but the people are easily manipulated by propaganda and media, it becomes an autocracy. Democracy wouldn’t change anything.

You did a great job showing what could've happened in that book's universe prior to the events of the story, although we have to keep in mind that even the main character, Winston, doesn't know if the year really is 1984. I like how you made the dialogue/text for the pop-up messages slowly change to reflect just how bad the situation is getting as more and more countries fall to the spreading/invading socialist tyrants that have taken over the major superpowers.

Although there is one issue, lower Cameron is displayed as being a component of French Cameroon, when in reality it was under the British Cameroon’s protectorate and remained until the independence of both nations resulting in a referendum to decide the status of both with the north to Nigeria and the south to Cameroon, as this map incorrectly display the modern border.

I think people seem to forget that Oceania started out as a democratic union between the USA and the UK during the 1950s in the middle of World War III. And then Oceania had a civil war against INGSOC in 1954, and INGSOC won that civil war.
