I bought one of these new in the spring of 84. $4995. Nothing could run top end with it. 156 mph.

Me too. Exactly the same color and V/H pipes. Dropped the front sprocket one tooth and rejetted the carb.

I have the same bike, absolutely love it, best I ever had. Lots of power, good looking, very comfy, starts up every time. The only bad thing I can say is it leaks a little oil here and there. I get a lot of compliments riding it around.

I got busted by a traffic cop who was riding one of these. I was on my piddly GS550 and had a half mile head start.

Nice.I had one with no mufflers.I ran the hell out of it.I went thru 3back tires in 5K doing burnouts.The only time the law caught me is because I ran out of gas.

these look amazing and what a sound ! never seen before until 2 month ago someone locally has one and though im really into sportbikes from mid 90-'s to early 2000's i love the look of this vf1000 interceptor . so cool

had the same bike in the mountains. pretty tough to horse around in the curves, but a blast to ride

I just bought one 2 months ago here in Holland for not even $ 1.700,-, or € 1.500,-. Just got Hyper Pro suspension installed, gotta put better tires on it, check it overall and away we go...!!!! I had one when I was 18, back in 1988. It got banged up by a drunk driver. I never likes the idea how I parted ways and was always looking for one. Well.....fully 100% original...!!!!! I'm happy...

I owned one 85 to about 87. It was a great bike. Not the absolute fastest but but all around.

i had 3 of these bikes , years years back , all of them had bad cams and rockers , i replaced them in one bike costing 500. per cam and 80, per lifter, it ran fantastic after that ,

I owned one back in the day and never had a problem. I own Mv Agusta now and big problems. Look forward to RVF 1000 in 2018 the real V 4 King.

Until the next time! Running these bikes was like keeping a Hollywood housewife. Dodgy cams, chains, etc. Keep well away, kids.

The Honda VF range back in the day really looked the part n they went stink... The 500 I understand experienced some cold seize if or when it was ridden hard...
