Look at how much more respectable and pleasant overall the players looked back then. And the commissioner, Pete Rozelle, was a real man. Much different and better than Roger Goodell.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for uploading these....I definitely needed the 1985 & 1990 drafts for my collection. Please upload more if you have them!

You’re welcome! I think I might have a couple more. Plus I also have a ton more of other NFL videos to upload. Stay tuned.

Can you imagine one of the commentators saying something like that at the draft now?

That was an idiotic comment by that guy.

😂😂😂 He probably wasn’t wrong. Just shows you how times have changed. No filter in the 80’s. Today, people have a hard time handling the truth and are over sensitive about every little thing. Still, that comment was pretty crazy

I remember watching this draft as a high school senior. It started at 6am PDT on Monday morning and as a Vikings fan I got to see their first round selection before I went to school. Didn't know Chris Doleman but he became a HOF, a Viking Great, and was a really good guy (RIP Chris). I do remember Zimmerman, a true curmudgeon, bitching and moaning about Eddie Brown not being taken for two hours before the Bengals finally selected him....and then complained for another 20 minutes that he was taken so low. Of course he was a bust.

I remember those days when the drafts were on during the week. I would pretend I was sick so I could stay home from school and watch them.

@@SteveKresminski With all the pomp and circumstance now (it's a major event) it's hilarious to think that for years it was held in a cramp hotel meeting room at 9am EDT on Monday-Tuesday. I remember going to school that day and my Accounting teacher, who was from MN and was a Vikings fan, asking me who the Vikings selected. Back then you didn't know draft prospects like you do today and neither of us who Chris Doleman was. Btw, I may have been a little hard on Eddie Brown. He had some productive years for the Bengals but only played 7 seasons.

I wouldn't call Eddie Brown a bust but yeah...he probably should've been pounding the table for someone else.

I love that Maguire said Green Bay moved up to take a receiver and then takes an offensive lineman, when him and Zimmerman are the ones saying they moved up for a receiver. Even if they said they wanted to move up for a receiver sometime before the draft, they clearly moved up and took a guard, bc they wanted the guard!
