Thanks Scott, I worked today on some wire tucking. A bit of a pain, shooting video of it, but its far from a "how-to" because Im figuring it out as I go lol

Mike Dula right on brother! now is the perfect time to do it too. Yeh tucking wires is never a fun task. the one thing I never understood was why there are so many unnecessary holes from the factory in the engine bay panels. lol... anyways if you post a video regardless of the topic I'll still watching it even if I've done it already which most of this stuff I have but it's always cool to see how other people approach it and possibly learn something new.

This is true! Working on a semi wire-tuck on it now to clean it up. Not sure I'll go as far as relocating the battery this time.

Heck yeah it would! Not really in budget though :/ budget is tight. Funny thing is with the motor out there is SO MUCH that is so much more easily done. I had no plans but to clean up the engine bay a little, now Im starting to wire tuck lol. Downward spiral.

Mike Dula - The possibilities are endless! I recently bought my 13 year old son an 84 Fox Body that we've completely gutted. Gonna be a dedicated drag car for him when he turns 16. Once we got it all apart and saw all the possibilities, our plans got MUCH bigger! Lol.

Man thats awesome! Lucky 13yr old. My dad was NOT into cars at all. Everything I know I taught myself and plan to pass everything to my son. Glad you guys are doing that together.

I bet the rubber grommet is bad, my 2 cents...pick up rubber grommet, pcv value and metal screen. You should be fine.

I put a jack under the transmission with a big piece of wood. Unbolted the transmission crossmember and let the jack down slowly. Then with a very long 1/2" extension, I was able to get all the bolts loose.

non turbo factory car, depends. 3 or less, unless you had a stubborn fuel line lol I spent 3 hours alone trying to get it to release.

Go back a few vids, I bought an 89 for the rebuild 30 in it, with a trick flow top end. Still the same motor Im rocking now with the on3 turbo on it.

Wasnt the side to side that was an issue, but the bumper not allowing the boom to extend over the center of the engine. Great for smaller vehicle / front wheel drive etc.

Not sure you understood the question. I was wondering if you could have used that hoist by coming in from the side of the car not the front like the guy in this video did... search youtube for "One Person Mustang Engine Removal Pt4. Pulling the Engine"

I take about 2-3 hours a night, took about 3 nights. Not bad..could have done it all in no time, but spent 2 days trying to remove a stubborn fuel line. Its a bit more than that though. drain rad, pull rad, fan, fuel lines, electric, exhaust, intake/manifold etc..pretty easy all in all.

For the motor, One one each side of the motor mount to frame. Easy. Then for the tranny, if you pull it WITH the engine, remove the crossmember. So thats 2 for the crossmember to frame and 2 for the tranny mount to crossmember..and pull the shifter handle so you can drop it from the tunnel. Thats really it but its EVERYTHING else thats time consuming. Remove driveshaft, coolant hoses, fuel lines, throttle cable, vacuume lines, power steering lines, exhaust (remove headers or remove header collector from catback) and elecric connections. Take a look at some of the videos I made pulling my engine to get an idea... Appreciate the compliment!
