@@TrickShiftGarage Hey Tricky! Yeah, I'm better with lawn equipment, but thanks to your video, I dragged my butt out there and got 'er did... Even my mechanic son said I did a good job. Unfortunately, I now need to go through and replace mah brake lines and probably the brake cylinders since it's been sitting for five years...

Great! I actually replaced my brake lines last year. I am trying to edit all of the videos to push out here on KZfaq, but it's like 4 hours worth of footage lol. It's taking forever.

What if my new master cylinder did not come with clear tubes or those fittings mine only had plug type fitings

Where did u find new oem brake lines for the master???? Ive been told a few times by parts stores that i meed to make them myself

Hello! I was able to get them from broncograveyard.com. Just make sure you give them your truck/bronco trim level, as well as your wheelbase. Let me know how it goes!

Do you mean the one on the bottom of the master cylinder?

Do you have to bleed the master if you use the old master cylinder

No, you should be fine. And you can actually remove the brake booster without disconnecting the old master cylinder. If you pull the master cylinder slightly towards the front of the truck, it should give you enough room to get the booster out of there. Just be very careful, especially if your brake lines are slightly rusted. You want to prevent breaking them.

Why don't you tighten the master cylinder before you attach the break lines?

It doesn't really matter. Just make sure you finger tighten the nuts to prevent it from falling off the studs.

How hard is it to replace those brake lines connecting to the master cylinder?

Those brake lines aren't too difficult because they only run down to the RABS Module and front lines. I replaced all of my brake lines and need to edit the footage. At some point I'll release it when it's ready.

I get to do this same job tomorrow. This was very helpful and I’ll probably have to reference it as I go. I wonder if mounting the master on the booster before bleeding would have eliminated some of your struggles.

I think that would make it harder to bleed since the booster will block the piston you need to push in. Some people have suggested using the brake pedal to bleed the Master Cylinder, but I feel like that would take a lot longer. Either way, let me know how it worked out for you!

I mounted the master cylinder and used the brake to manipulate the plunger to bleed it. I was careful to not push in too much and it worked like a charm.
