The Indian Ads from the 80s were so heavily inspired from American ads ! And Indians wanted to lead the firang life after watching these ads.

The caption of Forhan's was "The tooth paste creates by Dentist ". During the hay days of this toothpaste brand it was competing with colgate, vicci vajradandhi, Prudent, Signal 2 and a couple of them from tooth power segment. I still remember that, Sunil Gavaskar and Rohan Gavaskar (then a small boy) used to promote Forhan's on tv ads and commercials. Unfortunately Forhan's couldn't stand the competition as years went by and disappeared from the market.
@TheKomentor3 жыл бұрын
If I remember right, Forhan's paste did not produce any lather which many did not like. Also I think it used a lot of fluoride which many believe is not healthy.
@indradevabhakt62443 жыл бұрын
@@TheKomentor : you are right,.that foam less product used to be the orange toothpaste (physical outward tube colour, the paste used to be normal pale white).Soon the parent company Geoffrey Manners Ltd realised customer preference and introduced the blue colour one (physical outward tube colour) which used to get foam and lather. The blue Forhan's toothpaste was the one promoted by Sunny Gavaskar and his son. But, sadly Forhan's couldn't stand colgate's powerful ad power and marketing skills,..and the rest is history. Vicco Vajradandhi, Dabur Lal danth manjan and Promise (even till last January it was available in the market shelves,. current owners are Dabur) which survived the competition from those days till now.

Dekhiye yeh unki galti nahi h , ki aapko angrezi samajh nahi aati , 80 aur 90 ke daurr mei log hindi bhi utni sundarta se hi bolte the. Angrezi mei ads isliye dikhaye jaate the , kyunki global growth ke liye , global businesses language KO select kiya gaya. Woh sirf non english speaking users ko thori na target kar sakte the. Business chalane or ek local area mei kirane ki dukan chalane mei bahut farak hota. Western culture ki baat nahi h , angrezi ke ad european desho mei aur baaki desho mei bhi dikhaye jaate h.

@Sagnik Saha china ppl are learning English at a v quick rate now, infact English has become a mandatory language in most schools , as china wants to take over the global market Asap , Germany : Blooming in it's own local market , but not as strong Economy as china due to restriction of only remaining to local language and hence not being able to tap the global market like India and China, Russia : no comments on the economic status as we all know what d soviet is going through : Japan: Exceptional case. Their economy and technology is as powerful as Superpowers like USA, UK .however since they too are encouraging global business users in their country learning d English language is being encouraged , however not as much as China or other Asian countries . Hope this answers ur question :) Also there is no harm in learning the language which connects us on a global platform , but yes if u only want to keep ur business limited to ur own local market and not expand den dats ur wish. However , even in India , if u keep Hindi as the base medium ur business won't be able to target all of India , regions like Punjab and South India , hindi is hadly spoken. So to have a good business in India as well , ull have to learn d different regional languages as well not just be restricted to 1 .
