I’ve been exclusively using miswaak for almost 20 years. It’s awesome. When the bristles wear down after a day or so, you nibble them off and strip back a little bit of the bark and can use fresh bristles. If you cut them back with a knife they are more abrasive on your gums. Keep it simple. Renewable and compostable. Much lower carbon footprint than plastic/electric alternatives.
