1987 - Kawasaki ZX600A GPZ600R - Brake Bleeding .. Order of Operation

The GPZ600R has a grand total of 7 brake bleed nipples. 1 on the rear brake, and 6 up the front. So, what is the correct order of operation when bleeding the brakes on a GPZ600R, or how do you go about renewing the brake fluid? This is a simple "How to" on this .. I strongly recommend anyone who is not confident with brake work to visit a garage or have someone assist you who has a solid understanding of the brake system.

I had a heck of a job bleeding the front brakes on my 600, just couldn't seem to get all the air out. Don't seem to have any issues with the other bikes I do, just the 600. Great video 👍

I might be going nuts but, I'm sure the GPZ 600R's we got in this colour scheme in NZ had the silver carry on from the tank to the front fairing, where the GPZ600R decal is. And also they had 600R on the belly pan. Or is that something that changed depending on the Year. I'm half way through a full resto of my 87 FZR1000, but have noticed a pair of GPZ600R A1's come up for a decent price, and are thinking about getting them as the next project. I remember when they came out and being surprised at how fast they were, I had a great dice with one on my FZ 750.😆

The model with the silver stripe going all the way through is the 1986 model. This colour scheme, with the silver stripe on the tank only is a 1985 colour scheme. @@MrLefthooker Great site. And the bit showing the colours is just what i am looking for, always loved the red/black 85/86 colours. But for some weird reason i don't think the bike suits the lime green, not the same way as say, a ZXR does. The 900R is the same, doesn't really suit lime green paint job. Just IMO of course. @@MrLefthooker Once on a plane trip to UK in (87) i read a US magazine about a GPZ600R being sold in the US with an Alloy frame, years later no one believes me, no classic bike magazine ever mentions it, nothing. Everyone says it must have been the Japanese market 400, or i am just plain wrong. I just saw some info about the alloy framed one on your site, this is great, proves i wasn't imagining the whole thing.😄

@@uhtred7860 that's the GPZ600RX .. 1000 piece limited series in the USA. I have a Facebook page for owners and we have a couple of people who have one 👍🏻
