I want to thank the rude salesman that I tried to trade my fiero gt on this car who didn't know how to put a deal together cause he did me a favor. I found a better priced Mera that has ttops, 5spd and a fiero custom tan leather interior and I can afford to keep my fiero gt as well. Did I mention my Mera is RED!

Kudos to you guys for having such a pristine example of a truly rare and unique car. I honestly can’t wrap my head around the fact that this project was given the green light by the Pontiac brass. It is just so weird and wacky.

Pontiac had nothing to do with the MERA. A few select Pontiac dealers would sell brand-new Fieros and offer a "MERA" dealer option. The Fieros were sent to Corporate Concepts to do the conversions and sent back to the dealer for customer delivery.

Beautiful. This would be a dream car of mine. No stupid ferrari badging, no stupid ferrari center wheel caps. The only thing this car needs is a 3.4L from a 93-95 Camaro/Firebird and use the stock plenum. That way it retains its stock appearance, with a bit more power. Some might call me crazy to do something like that. But that is all it needs. Great example, and great video buddy!

The Mera was never sold as a Ferarri tribute or copy... it was always offered as an optional body and interior to Pontiac customers on a special order basis... I am still looking for one...

THOSE WHEEL GAPS!!!

You would prefer it to look like every other modshit car there is, giant rims with tyres that look more like electrical tape and slammed to the ground to make it a show car not a drivers car?

where is the doorhandle? or is it just the key that pops the door open?

MaxTheSpy it look the keyhole is in the middle of the doorwhere you see the sliver round spot that might be it. if that not it, then it might be keyless entry remote control!

It’s inside the black trim I got lucky enough back in 1988 Test drive one of these things at my local Pontiac dealer oh my God it was so freaking cool but I was only 18 and couldn’t afford to buy it

This kit looks good, however My opinion is the 1984 Fiero 2M4 SC looked better. The Fiero had one downfall, it needed at least 150 HP not 96.

I think those 2.8l engines cranked out about 140hp or so. Nothing crazy, but still better than the 92hp 2.5L. Most people who have the time and resources end up dropping a 3800 in there.

Back then everyone wanted magnum's 308. At least this looked a ton better than the freakishly bad Countach kit offered for the same car. Imagine someone making a kit based off a couple out of perspective pictures and having a low budget.
