I have the same boat, did upgrades on mine this year, going to modify the front deck again though. I moved my trolling motor battery to the front, used agm batteries, added a wash down system, master switch so nobody can steal your boat, stereo, l.e.d. bow and Stern lights, l.e.d. interior lights, trim switches up front and rear, Garmin 7" front and rear, USB on dash and up front, along with quick connect for trolling motor, dash and front battery status indicators, dual battery charger with a plug in socket on the dash, trim guage, fuel gauge, powder coated aluminium diamond plate, the front plate, dash, added the rod holders to the side of console and two rod holders on rear deck, added cup holder in the floor in front and one in rear, and two between the seats. Looks great and I have the same exact boat. Can you tell me which seats you bought from Bass Pro for the pilot and passenger seats? Having a hard time finding the ones that have the correct mounting for the hinges.

So the name of the seat is: Bass Pro Shops Tournament Pro High-Back Boat Seat. That’s copied from basspro.com should be the $60 model. I might have had to do a little bit of jerry rigging I can’t remember but they ended up working perfectly

That looks great. I have the same boat that i bought new in 1987. I think it's time for a little overhaul. I love what you did with extending the deck. Great idea. Question about your seats. Are those the original seat brackets that connect seat to boat. First thing i need to do is replace the two seats near the console.

Can you answer a question about the seaflow storage hatch can it be stepped on. Is it strong enough to support 200lbs

They can each support up to 400lbs on one lid!

I was a novice boater when I first bought it and rough water hurt the body and soul a bit but she handled it pretty well! Just know what you can handle as a boater

Awesome upgrades.ive been looking for a video on this.i have a 89 txt.same boat as yours.as you know they are solid boats.but im wanting to do some upgrades myself.where did you get the hatches at? & whats the name of them? Also the extra wood you put in the boat does it make it much heavier? I just upgraded to a evenruide 60 hp on it.but want to re carpet & re deck new hatches ect...thanks.

It maybe adds 30lbs and mine still ran 35 fully loaded after upgrades with a 45hp Merc. And the hatches are seaflo marine hatches on Amazon. And the cheapest carpet for boys would be manards. You’ll spend about $50 on carpet and like 20 on adhesive. Then get new seats at bass pro. Good luck on your build!!

@@RenegadeRCFPV hey.on the sea flow hatches.i looked them up.they look great.but when i order them do i get just the lid? Or does it come with the actual hatch "box" that sinks down into the deck?

@fishingwithty I have the same exact boat but I do not have it on hand I have to travel to get it but wanted to order some carpet for my boat do you have a rough estimate on how much carpet and how wide of carpet I would need? This would mean a lot to me to hear back. Thank you and also great video.

So I went to menards and got the marine grade outdoor carpet for 47 cents a square foot. They cut it to the length you need. Luckily the TX-17 is just under 6 feet wide in the back and the carpet is 6 foot wide by however long you need it! I spent less than $100 to recarpet both my trackers, thank you for the comment and good luck with your build!

@@RenegadeRCFPV Think you for Replying. So that including The bottom and the sides also the steering console? Or do I need to add a few extra feet on to my length to finish those? It's just the stock TX17 wethers nothing built for other storage or anything.

@@teddychaney3234 length you need will depend on what you wanna replace, with my deck extension I used roughly a 20x6 foot piece to get everything done. Could vary a few feet depending on mistakes, patching, waste, etc.

@@teddychaney3234 that why I created the channel is to help others!! So I bought those seats at Bass Pro and they were like the $35 ones, I’d honestly spend a little extra and get some nice plush seats! Just make sure they will fit width wise in the seat cutouts

Great job. I am restoring the same boat. However, I have a question about the weight in the back. Have you taken it out yet. I'm planning on moving my batteries up front near the console.

Chad Johnson it surprisingly doesn’t effect it much, still nimble and gets on plane no problem! Can run 33 mph with a full tournament load and for twice as long! Good luck with the restoration!
