In Game Six of the 1987 World Series, the Cardinals jumped on Twins' starter Les Straker early and with a 3-2 series lead, Minnesota's season was on the ropes. Don Baylor tied the game with a two-run homer in the fifth, and Steve Lombardozzi followed with an RBI single to give the Twins a 6-5 lead. In the next inning, Kent Hrbek put the game out of reach with a grand slam homerun, and the Twins forced a decisive Game Seven with an 11-5 win.
