1988 BMW 535is Window Motor Regulator Repair and Install || E28 E30 E23 E24

Күн бұрынDisassembly, restoration and install on the window motor regular in my 1988 BMW 535is. Before, the window was totally non functional and after, the window was good as new! Even without replacing any parts, cleaning the gunk out of the gears, and other small repairs really helped bring this window system back to life.

Solid video. I still can't figure out how the rollers came of the rails my 528e wont budge.

Same problem I had..roller is held on by a tiny 1/2 inch C Clip. I went to Napa and got a C Clip. Works great.

Possibly called retainer clip or link pin clip.

So the motor arm slides on the actual rail that’s mounted on the window ? I can’t see how that system work.

I don’t remember if it was mounted on the actual window or the door frame but yes. Theirs a cutout for the wheel to pop out of. Slow the video down at 4:26 and you’ll see it

Is this the same process for the front passenger window?

The front windows are actually a bit different in the way their setup. Go watch "Building a BMW E28 | First Start in 8 Months!" on my channel I replace the front drivers window and it shows how that window regulator is setup
