I used to own a black 1987 model that was identical and fully loaded. Awesome ride. That rear hatch is self closing once you gently lower it. An FYI to anyone who comes across one so you don’t destroy that glass or the rear latch.

Oh man! This one incorporates all three 3rd gen Camaros I've had. My brand new charcoal grey 1984 Z28, my brand new bright blue metallic. w/T-tops, 1985 5.0 TPI IROC-Z and my black 1987 5.7 TPI IROC-Z. :)

I had a 1988 5.7 liter Camaro hardtop. Color black w/red pin striping. The fastest I went in it was 155mph. I wish I still had it.

This is a Verrrry Rare Color!! My buddy Darrin bought this very Color Iroc 2nd hand in 1988 ...original owner was a Doctor who custom ordered it specifically because of the Color!! WHAT A DIAMOND!!!

Headliner is sagging and that hatch is an automatic soft close so there's no need to slam it shut. I had a white 88 IROC with the 5.7, overall it's a nice car.

I cannot believe that is now a 40 year old car. Or that it's been 50 years since my brother bought a brand new red Z Camaro. When I hit the lotto you will get tired of coming around to buy... 55 Chevy Belairs,62 Red Impala's, 68 Mustangs, 71 240Z. After that 77Z...we all went to small cars.

That paper tag that you said has the part number is actually a vin number and it’s on all body panels. It’s not fragile paper that can’t get wet it’s supposed to stay on the car for the life of the car. Every video you talk about this “paper tag” still being on the car and then suggest the car has probably never seen rain or been washed because it’s still on there. It’s supposed to be there.

Hello.....you shut the hatch by closing it gently to the catch.....the auto pull down finishes the closing Don’t slam.....as well this car has a switch on the center console to open the hatch
