I won the over 30 expert on a 1989 cr125 beat 450 and 250s that day I just didn’t get tired was a blast

When I was a little kid this bike was a beast in my eyes, my dad considered it a dangerous MX bike and I should only be interested in air cooled trail bikes. To this day I still want a 80’s CR125 just to prove I can ride it and not die haha

I had this bike. Great bike. I added the 87 head to it for better power. This bike has a 89 seat cover on it and the "pro link" sticker is 87. The 89 125 had conventional forks the 250 had upside down forks.

Ive been saying for years and years that these late 80's and 90's motocross&enduro bikes were BY FAR the best looking. Dirtbikes used to look SO MUCH better whith those slightly curved rear fenders and proper "curves". Manufacturers used to have unique and cool looking bikes of their own.Nowdays those ktm and husqvarnas etc. you see EVERYONE riding look like the same bike with those matching, pointy rear fenders and straight lines/narrow shapes everywhere. Pretty much only the colors differ slightly these days and its a shame. The previous designers used to actually DESIGN something cool and unique instead of making carbon copies. dont get me wrong I'm not saying these new bikes are bad looking but they have been making them look like that same bike for ages. :D Nice video and even more awesome is that beatiful bike being ridden properly!

That was my intro to bike riding back in the mid 90s. My cousins in Mexico had a CR125 and when I went to visit I’d ride all over on that thing. Good times.

Love that year and 1989 CR Looks..I remember when my cousin parents bought him a brand new 1989 Honda CR 80, when I was 15 in high school. That was one sexy and fast bike, stock out of the crate. Definitely full banana sandwich in this video!

Honda quality is actually insane. Have had my 1994 cr125 for 4 years and it stopped running the week after I got it. THEN IT GOT STOLEN and we somehow managed to get it back. Now we just put a coil on there and it runs like it’s brand new

Wow i had a 89 cr 125 when i was a teenager super awesome bike had to sell it to buy my first truck ride red for ever that bike was so killer used to ride it in the desert almost every other weekend wow memories!

Wow time machine. I remember the day my local dealer put this on the floor. Lots of people didn't like the solid red but I loved it. A true red rocket. Absolute wheelie machine.

One of my old riding buddies has a 1987 CR125 , it was reached when he got it several years back ,he brought back to very good condition and actually maintained it as a rider for quite a while . She sleeping now in storage , sweet bike .

That's the bike I have! Great bike! Really fun to open it up because it's got enough power to rip but still open it up in smaller spaces. Just make sure not to put water in the radiator because I had to replace my whole right side engine cover because it was completely corroded.

You made the 125 look faster than the 400 and 500

Had an 89 CR125R when I was 14. I could only reach the ground with one foot on the ground and the other on the peg. Was so much fun in the sand compared to the XR 100 it replaced 😂

My 89 CR125 had the same conventional forks... i think only the 250 went upside down for 89. ...90 onward was all upside down from memory

Had same year make in 2000, bored sleeve out myself .080 over, I was 180# at the time and would pass newer 125s going up the hills at budds creek. Land smooth and the forks are fine for the weekend slouch. I still look for it like stalking an x girlfriend. bet the thing is still making fun somewhere.

Nice video as always. My only comment is, is it an '88? Because it's got an '89 seat cover. An '88 has the HONDA printed on both sides of the seat cover. Never the less, the CR125s' really are the best 125s' out there. Thanks and keep it up.

Where can I get info on the 1988 cr 125? Like how often to change the trans oil, what grade of gas to mix the 2T oil with, type of coolant?
