Sweet example. These cars were underrated and were arguably the best cars Porsche made, for decades. I've seen these things with "strokers" do amazing things at the track.

I wonder what ECU Management system he installed. Any Spec's on the turbo and ECU?

Sorry I do not have the info. But you can call Dyno Comp in Scottsdale AZ and ask them. It's the owners baby.

My na 944 does 130 ! But Im sure if you had more room you could open it up to 160 cause my stock 86 951 does 157mph

400HP out of a 2.5 Lt 4 cylinder - not bad.....

These were cool, fast cars with terrible reliability. The turbo S was only a 1988.5 model..with no S on the back... 1989 was turbo S spec and cars were manufactured through 1991. Front brakes not 928 GTS which was a 1993 model. Car weighed in at approx 2998 lbs

It’s good you brought this info up because a lot of people think that the turbo S only came up in ‘88 model. Such a pure ignorance and misinformed.

@med8tor1 It is not ignorance. 1988 is the only year Porsche made a 944 Turbo S. 1988 Turbo S were sold as Turbo S from Porsche and has Turbo S designation on paper work etc. 1989 to 1991 are 944 Turbo however they are built to similar specs as the 1988 944 Turbo S with 52 engine and a0r trans/lsd. The 1988 Turbo S does have a few chassis changes the later turbo did not get. Both vehicles are similar but technically from Porsche 1988 is the only year they released 1635 944 Turbo S vehicles.

This is incorrect. 1988 is the only official year they released the amount of 1635 944 Turbo S models. This indeed is a 1989 944 Turbo in this video. It is not a Turbo S.

@@busybee2125 like i said. All 89 although referred to as turbo, were turbo S specs. 88 was the only year of turbo and turbo s variants.

What I said is accurate. 1988 is the only year Porsche officially made 1635 944 Turbo S. 1989 and later are indeed 944 Turbo only. Yes the later turbo 944 did share same engine/lsd/trans as 1988 Turbo S but it did not get all the special Cup specs that the 1988 Turbo S got. Similar enough but from a factual point 1989 and later are not Turbo S. Stop spreading false information.
