Chinua Achebe is one of Africa's foremost writers. At home in Ogidi, Southeast Nigeria, he discusses the roots of his stories and his portrayal of both the sophisticated culture of his people and the conflicts within the modern state of Nigeria.

First time watching this interview. Chinua Achebe remains one of the greatest literary icons from Africa who rewrote the African story in the heart and minds of Africans. Keep resting in peace Legend.

It's always good to discover a writer I haven't read before but this was a fascinating portrait of Chinua Achebe and so I shall remedy that!

In 1990, he was walking fine with his legs, and later that year accident happened in Lagos. He was rushed to the US and remained there
