So you can change the clutch without taking out the engine, nice. :)

Most people consider taking the engine out with the trans attached much easier. I prefer leaving the engine installed but that’s just my preference 🚙

Hey great video I had a question so when we were removing the flywheel it spun and we wanted to know if the engine would be off timing.

If the belt was still tight and not messed with you should be fine!

Do you recommend changing the engine mounts to new one while replacing the clutch since theyre apart already?

Change any possible thing that could be worn... parts for this car are very cheap on rockauto

Same way you took it off, use a floor jack to lift it into place that usually helps. It will pop into place then slowly tighten the bolts down in a criss cross pattern

What is the diameter of the clutch you used ? 200mm, 212mm ?

It’s not going to be 100% identical but im sure you can apply a lot of the same procedures on those years as well.

Is the game plan to just have enough room to remove the bell housing to take the clutch off? If I can do it without removing as much peripherals?

Use conventioanl 5w30 motor oil in the tranny....thats what I use

You’re taking a chance I’ve blown a manual Honda transmission when I used regular conventional motor oil. Trust me from experience. Those trannys are very picky when it comes to fluid, just passing info on from my experience.

Possibly I’ve never had an issue when I’ve used manual Honda transmission fluid the one time I did use gear oil the transmission was affected so I wasn’t sure exactly what happened it didn’t blow from abuse. Just passing on my experience I’m sure 5-30 gear oil is fine, I just won’t be using it.
