1990 was the last year for Comiskey Park and an exciting Chicago White Sox team made it memorable. A new three part documentary called: 'Last Comiskey' is ready to drop, bringing Sox fans a dose of nostalgia for not only the ballpark but for the team. Producer and director, Matt Flesch, joins the podcast to provide some insight into the making of the documentary and what made that 1990 White Sox team so special. The Sox were led by manager Jeff Torborg and they were not predicted to go very far yet they made a serious run at the mighty Oakland Athletics. Ozzie Guillen, Jack McDowell, Greg Hibbard, Scott Fletcher and so many others provide their perspectives of what made that season so special. Part 1 of the documentary drops on March 2nd at 8pm. This documentary is perfect for Sox fans of all ages.

I am 28yrs old born in 95’ so white Sox baseball didn’t really get going for me until early 2000s like Magglio/Frank/Carlos Lee era but looking forward to checking this out for historical purposes. always wished to see old comiskey & Chicago stadium, thanks for this awesome interview !

I keep seeing all these videos about Comiskey and Chicago Stadium....I get the nostalgia but I have been to both places so many times I can't remember and for all the good memories I have for both those places, by the time they were torn down, they were dumps and needed to be replaced.

I will *never* call the new park "Guaranteed rate field", nor "US Cellular" or any other temporary till they get a better offer corporate shilling name they use. For me it's either New Comiskey or Sox Park, and that's it.

I was a season ticket holder for that last year. It was an exciting and sad season. The Sox couldn't overtake the A's and the last game which I was at was a great day, but I cried when I left the park because I could never go back there again. I love the White Sox and I loved Comiskey.

Just to know that the decade of the 90's got bookended with 4 last hurrahs for MLB Ballparks.... 1990: Last year of baseball for Comiskey 1993: Last year of baseball for Cleveland Municipal Stadium 1999: Last year of baseball for Tiger Stadium 2000: Last year of baseball for Milwaukee County Stadium... 😢❤

Man, that was a fun season! If only they had realigned the divisions & implemented the wild-card back then… That team was playoff worthy & it was terribly sad to see the Sox sent home… They were so much fun to watch, probably one of the teams I’m most partial to in White Sox history

Cool episode I've always like to learn about the old comiskey Park I was able to attend one game that year I was 8ys old I do remember thou. That said for all the flak new comiskey gets in think it's a great Park and experience and aging nicely especially after all the renovations. Dare I say one day it might also be looked at as a throwback iconic ball park? Lol

The lower deck at the new park is much nicer than the lower deck at the Old Comiskey Park. The upper deck at the Old Comiskey Park was much nicer than the upper deck at the new park. The new park is 2 different parks. The lower deck is wonderful. The upper deck is lousy. Reinsdorf changed the design of the new stadium. He wanted another level of suites which made the upper deck too high.
