That was a great team loved Brooks and Bettis in the backfield

ND was hot at the end of 1992. Smashed #9 undefeated BC, beat #22 PSU, beat #19 USC, and thrashed #4 undefeated Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl.

I think they were legitimately the second best team in the country after Alabama in 1992 by the end of the season. They would have given 'Bama a much better game in the Sugar Bowl because they had the physicality that Miami sorely lacked. Especially along the OL and in the backfield.

33:52 Yeah...that's a fumble, not an incomplete pass.
@johnmanier79682 жыл бұрын
It went forward, so the default call would be an incomplete pass. ND really got screwed in the 1978 game, when the Pac-10 ref called a backwards fumble an “incomplete pass.” Instead of ND running out the last 25 seconds off the click, Southern Cal got into field goal range and “won.” The same ref gave Charles White a decisive TD in Rose Bowl despite him fumbling at the 2-3 yard line. Southern Cal owes so much of its past glory to cheating.

@@johnmanier7968 I remember both of those terrible calls so well. %He one against the Irish hurt more but the Rose Bowl call was one of the worst I've ever seen.

Damn Holtz and ND running it str8 up the gut...U knew it was coming but couldn't stop it....The more I watch Mire back then, he really sucked....they won despite him.

Other than 89, this may have been Holtz’s most talented team. Shame they sat on the ball at the end of Michigan and totally blew the Stanford game.

I love ND and always have. With that said, Mirer was so overrated. How was he the second pick in the draft?

I was there , the Trojan fans booed their seniors on senior day , totally low class, shame on usc, those players lost every game to Notre dame but tried so hard 😂
@timothyball75022 жыл бұрын
Funny how Notre Dame is a religious school and they play football on God's Sabbath, Saturday. GOD says to be holy on Sabbath Day. Football isn't holy. But they bring catholic, it's no big deal to them. Christ honoured Sabbath. 8-24-2021
