(L.A. TIMES) May 30, 1992----In the month since the Los Angeles riots, there have been no revenge killings involving the city's two most notorious street gangs, law enforcement officers in the Los Angeles area said Friday, lending credibility to a truce called by the two gangs in the wake of the riots.
While drive-by shootings among Latino gang members and their associates have continued unabated in such places as South Los Angeles, Compton and Inglewood, the nearly all-black Crips and Bloods seem to have suspended their 20-year-old blood feud in those communities, officers said.

Hezakya Newz & Films The TOP Reason the Truce didn't last. You DON'T Tell/Broadcast Peace Meetings with your CULTURAL/ FAMILY with Another CULTURE or RACE who is the ENEMY. It's like discussing family Dissagreement/Dispute Business with the Enemy. You Don't use the ENEMY as a REFEREE or MEDIATOR in FAMILY PROBLEMS. Lions DON'T and WON'T use Hyenas,Snakes,or any Animal in the Animal Kingdom when they are into it. Common Sense tells even Insects That the Opposite Insect or Animal Wants you all and will add to you all getting rid of each other because they WANT TO TAKE OVER YOUR LAND and BENEFITS. They SHOULD HAVE did this Behind Closed doors like REAL GANGSTERS DO. Police DON'T, WON'T and CAN'T have Black Gangbanging to Stop because 60%+ of the Law Enforcement and Hospitals in Cali would be out of JOBS. Stupid

That man was attempting his best to antagonize that interview, it’s clear as day that he didn’t like this idea ...I grew up in a lot of different hoods mostly Inglewood and the thought of Bloods and Crips together in the Wood makes me happy as hell I’m Mexican but our Black brothers uniting is a step closer to Brown and Black uniting once we unite and start a education cohesion it’s gonna be a wrap 🤜🏾🤛🏿

I remember when this happened. All the homies was for it but a few. Shit really calmed down until things suddenly picked up again. Everyone knew who started it back up but when ego's are involved forget about it. One thing I learned from this was we shouldn't be out in the open with what we are going to do. MOVE IN SILENCE. Imagine the cops rolling down the jungles and seeing Bloods and Crips having a barbeque and they didn't even know about shit going on. That's how it should be...

the reason why they want to keep the gangs at war is because if they ever realize what will happen if they all United they outnumber the cops probably 20 to 1 that is why they constantly keep these gangs at war Nipsey was doing the same thing and he gets killed the day before the f****** meeting these pigs do not want unity they know they will be outnumbered and they know that dumb gangs have the balls to go against the cops and will not be afraid to shoot it out with them if they're all joined together

The gentleman sitting in the middle with the light grey blazer (I think he said his name was T. Rogers) made some great comments. Too many to recall while I type this. He mentioned One Word, that in my opinion can solve many problems, not just gang-related issues in the hood, but can ease tensions WORLD-WIDE. It can and will benefit ALL of society, as a Whole. And that word my beloved people, is UNITY! That man is nothing short of an Influential spokesman and representative of the people. You see, I have come to learn that the color of our skin is Just That.......COLOR. When all is said and done, we all bleed red and we all breath the same air. Please Don't let the color of your skin, or the color of your rag, divide US any longer. Because we share A LOT of commonalities. Truth be told, we as a people, have more in common, than we have indifferences. He also mentioned role models and what he said regarding this, was paramount! WE are THE role models for these children. For OUR beautiful children which the good Lord has blessed us with. Especially when it comes to the boys. These sons, NEED their fathers. Believe that! I know I did. I am 39 years old and in all honesty, I am still searching in my heart, still yearning for the love, of my absent father. MY hero right? MY role model! And with 2 sons of my own now, I vow not to repeat that same behavior. Because I am convinced that they deserve better. Shiiiiit, I know I did. I cannot come up with the right words, or enough words, to express the importance of the father's role in the household. Starting with being present. And we cannot be there if we are in a cell, or a dorm, or in rehab, or in the backseat getting locked and loaded, about to put in some work. We just have to find it in our hearts to do the right thing. They say "it is never too late." But I believe that NOW is the time. Let us Stop being selfish and think about our loved ones. Start taking them into consideration. Along with our fellow brothers and sisters...... And on a side note, the OG speaking mentioned the term "Political Pimping," and he couldn't have put it any better. Don't buy everybody's bullshit. Because more than likely, your local politician does not give a rat's ass about your concerns, and especially your well-being. ENDORSEMENTS is all they care about. Change is going to have to start with us. THERE IS NO ALTRRNATIVE! -One Love-

This why we all have to keep culture poppin in our communities. Arts, Sport's, Cultural cultivation within our communities is vital and important. We have a wealth of talent with our sister's and brothers and if there's greater opportunity for youth gang's, gang violence wouldn't be so bad. When gang violence destroys our communities its culture that brings them together and collectively strengthens them. When youth can learn education and understanding first before hatred and violence communities are healthier and more progressive. Uplifting our youth through culture and cultural activities matters.

You'll never see this type of movement again. A man getting beat down on video jumpstarted a movement and now look at it. Society is so desensitized by children getting killed in the streets, you hardly ever hear about it now. I was part of this movement in 92 and I knew then it would be short lived because it was too sensational.

There were older gangsters from EVERY hood that was promoting peace tbh, it just didn't resonate with the active bangers real talk, the original truce was between the project gangs in Watts, you think the violence between those gangs just stopped? Naw, but like I said the OG's were trying to stop the violence, the violence was WAAAAYYY crazier in the 90s than present day.

Certain parts of LA has this so called peace treaty. It should've been a Crip-Crip peace treaty because most of the killings that occurred back in the 80's were in Crip rivalries. Things gotten real bad after this when some Blood sets started fueding with each other. The 90's were awful in LA.

I understand the need for black people to come together as one as well as strengthen and unify their community. I think that all people could accomplish alot if we could set down all of the things that we allow to divide us. Not just as black, brown or white people but simply as human beings. Maybe it's idealistic, but imagine what we could all accomplish if we loved, supported, respected and protected each other regardless of race or politics. If we did, the elite that are the architects of division and oppression worldwide would have a serious problem on their hands. As long as they keep us divided, dumbed down, distracted and disenfranchised they will always have the power to destroy us or to get us to destroy each other and ourselves.
