The Watts truce was a 1992 peace agreement among rival street gangs in Los Angeles, California, declared in the neighborhood of Watts. The truce was declared in the days just before the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and although not universally adhered to, was a major component of the decline of street violence in the city during the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.

I left in 90 haven't been back " I was so Crip " I couldn't see nothing else literally with my locs on all I knew was Long Beach Crip .I was really gone wow it's been a long journey I'm 53 now .

This peace treaty last a decent amount of time if you think about it bc it was everyone not just 2 hoods we just gotta stop being knuckleheads and once we start the cease fire we need to uphold that if you got a problem wit someone go head up wit heem and shake hands after like men that’s all we need to do but harder done than said but hope all my brothers n sisters kan kome together one day to achieve peace and unity in the city of LA
