Take a ride in the original Evo! This 1993 Lancer Evo I has been built as a track day weapon, and while it may not have mirror finish paint, it more than makes up for it with outrageous handling and response. The original 4G63 2.0L turbo engine is retained with some impressive modifications to manage heat.

"The mighty drag racing Bulgarian" - I'm flattered haha. 4G63T cars have their issues but for the most part it's always little stupid things like this clutch pin that break. It's an opportunity to bond with the car! I've been looking through the classifieds for the right Evo or DSM to pop up, so who knows...maybe it's time to bring back the college days.

I remember one of the few things we improved post build about our track bmw was the shift linkage. They'd cut one up and welded it together with a few spot welds.... when you're on the track you don't hold back so the spot welds tore. :) It's been properly welded now, it can probably pull the entire car.

Even the RS model, it's basically 1,000 pounds lighter than the Evo X too! the Evo 123's are my favorites. The perfectly sized TD05 and exhaust manifold twin scroll setup really helps the low and midrange. I know because I have an evo with an aftermarket T3/T4 and its noticably slower from 2-4k. I think the RS models have less turns lock to lock. With a softer OEM style spring and a normal non outrageous organic clutch they are fine for daily.

Clutch pedal coming off is the prime reason I bend cotter pins, jk it’s because my steering linkage on my jeep came apart on the highway 😂😂

Bought not built! This is exactly how it was bought from Stellar Imports in NH. So whoever they bought it from did a killer job building it.

oh and on that note, you should deffinately try out european wannabe sports cars....Renault especially offers old Laguna 3. That car shine in no way. BUT....if you get correct piece, it will have 4WS system, 2.0T engine and if you get real lucky, even LSD on that front axle. Really wierd feeling of driving heavy car trying to be small and light...and it kinda works. With another feature, SHORT 6 gear gearbox limiting you at 205KPh, you can have some thrill even with like 220HP or whatever that thing makes. More than plenty for country roads, even with real weight of that car.
