What a colossal 🫏 whooping. After a month of media saying it was going to be 34-13. And it actually was! ROLL TIDE 🐘.

ONE voter voted for Bama from the first preseason poll whe everybody else voted for miami the whole season. The media said they should take his vote away. After this demolish of the canes, Bama gave that man a national title ring.

People make it seem like this game was an UPSET. ALABAMA was the # 2 TEAM in the Nation that year and Actually had the #1 RANKED DEFENSE in the Country. It was One of those Nights where EVERYTHING seemed to BOUNCE Alabama's way that night. The stripped Ball from behind by Teague , PUNTS that seemed get the perfect bounces. Taking NOTHING away from ALABAMA they were the BETTER Team that night. Alabama would not WIN another National Championship for 13 years until SABAN arrived. Miami REBUILT their Dynasty under Butch Davis in 1995 and would go on to play in 3 STRAIGHT National Championship Games in 2000,2001( National Champions) & 2002. 2 GREAT Football Programs. Will be hard to replace SABAN when he walks away. CRISTOBAL now has the task of Re-Building the Miami Program for whom he WON 2 National Championships as an Offensive Lineman for MIAMI in 1989 & 1991. This game IRONICALLY was Mario Cristobal's Final year as a player at MIAMI. Amazing how LIFE sometimes comes FULL CIRCLE.

Lassic gets called for unsportsmanlike conduct for spinning the ball after a good run. There would be a flag on every play if they penalized simple things like that today.

Everyone deserves their little time in the sunshine and for 30 years Miami had a little sunshine. This game was just a little reminder half way through their run that when all is said and done, they won't be a top 20 all time cfb program. But those little moments were fun.

Ryan you are out of your mind! Miami will go down as one of the greatest collegiate programs of all time. Top 5 if you ask me, no other program has produced more NFL stars in the past 35 years.

Jay Barker has got to be one of the worst Quarterbacks I’ve ever seen. How that team went undefeated with him proves that you get an elite running game and defense, you’re going far.

What a great game for defense, run game,and special teams. You couldn't have asked for a better performance from the tide I'm this classic game. Jay barker didn't play his best game through the air,but he led his run game to an amazing performance. What a classic for the Crimson tide!

No quarterback would have had a lot of passing yards under the type of Offense that Stallings run while he was there. It was built around the running game and field position.

Michigan vs Michigan
@CapeFear17 ай бұрын
The vaunted Miami offense was dominated here. Only TD was on a punt return. Miami was still winning alot but this was the beginning of the end. The Miami defense was great but the offense was definitely slipping under Erickson. It wasn't greatly noticed because they kept winning but Erickson was going more away from the speed that made Miami great and going increasingly more with slow and lumbering power backs like Stephen McGuire, Donnel Bennet, Larry Jones etc and the receivers were still good but not the speedster and playmaker like Irvin, Shakespeare, Eddie Brown etc that brought Miami to prominence. Miami had been living on defense at this point and the offense was dying a slow death. Nobody noticed because they were still winning but the warning signs were there. This game was the end of the first Miami dynasty, to be reborn in 2000 and 2001 time frame.
