Beautiful truck, and best years of the fords. I have owned 5 and a full size bronco, and all were well used. They need to go back in time and make trucks simple again. I see so many newer trucks with major electric issues, with so much shit on them, something is always screwed up. The big three don’t realize that if you build one simple, they would dominate the market. They want to build them now, where they don’t last and a trip to the dealer is a must.

So well said! Trucks have become luxury vehicles now instead of just being trucks, simple was always best when it came to a truck.

I had 5 of these over the years.... one with the same 5.8L engine and the short box like this one. One with the 5.0L 302 and a long box. My favorite though was the 4.9L 6cyl with manual 5spd. Great trucks no doubt.

I've owned 6 Ford trucks (all 98-newer) but 92-96 are among my all-time favorites. Some day I will probably buy one if I can find a real clean Eddie Bauer short box model (ideally 96 because it supports OBD-II which makes repair a bit easier). My dream truck is a 96 reg cab short box EB in green over tan, 2WD auto, engine doesn't matter, 6 cyl would be just fine.

That was a old school Ford F Series! I like the body style from 1980-1997 F Series generation! My best option will be the last facelift for as one of my favorites for 1992-1997 Ford F Series, Bronco & Centurion model year! Ford F Series, Bronco & Centurion was the best full size pickups & SUV's in 1994! Well 1997 will be the last year of this body style of Ford F Series, Bronco & Centurion!

Don't give up on it Daniel Padgett!!! They are worth keeping going!! I had a 92 F150 5.0 had the E4OD Transmission. I had to change out the transmission two times..... it was very much doable with a few friends, and a few hours time. The softest part of the truck for sure, but damn... when you hit the gas, and that bad boy slapped down into passing gear, it would pull you back in your seat and go like a raped ape!! !

What is your point exactly? Also I'm pretty sure these were dummy gauges like most vehicles.
@JackG793 жыл бұрын
Your 95 probably had a different engine, or had a guage sensor. Could be a million reasons why. Most of the fords from 92 to 96 i had ran at this temp..... : www.grautogallery.com/vehicles/8713/1995-ford-f150-xlt-eddie-bauer (see the pic of the gauge cluster)

Dual Front Shocks are because it was a "Heavy" half Ton. You could get a heavy half ton for a slight upgrade in price, rather than go all the way up to a F250. You stayed in the half ton class but had an extra leaf spring, and dual shocks. I believe you actually got a skid plate over the transmission.

Trucks have too many bells and whistles and bullshit now days. If Ford started selling these at about 60% msrp compared to their usual shit... theybwould sell just like the model t did again. Everyone needing a good solid simple truck would buy them up like hotcakes. And that is the reason they can change so much. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I could afford this truck when I was 20. Now that I'm 40. I cannot afford a truck. Shits a fucking sick joke!!!!
