I had 35" thornbirds on my ranger with 4:56 gears. Pulled my buddys 2500 avalanche out of a lake with it. Thornbirds get a bad rap, but go just fine in the mud for what they are.

it was a just a 4.0l v6. I had put headers and a cold air intake and a computer chip and exhaust. those are 38's if you are wondering!

I salute you sir. That is the finest looking, and probably the best built ranger I have seen. (I have research hundreds of highly unique ones on many a website.) Only peeve is those Thornbirds.

Sooo miss my Rangers, had a '93 on 35" Mud Terrains w/Interceptor swap, and a '95 basically stock. Sad they stopped making them.

That is the epitome of a fun ol' mud hole to play in.

@MyPURPLEHAZE94 yes you are correct it is a 94 model and those are 38's. I was running a total of about 9 inch of lift, 6 suspension and 3 body to clear them! The exhaust was 2.5 inch flomasters with an x pipe and true dual all the way back! and i also had gibson headers on er'!

@madmarine2012 Um it had 9 inches of lift to clear the 38.5 thornbirds, um i had long tube headers and flowmasters with an x pipe and a few other little things that were just for fun!

how did you get 12in of lift under it werer did you buy the lift?

@manthehut Long tube headers, 2 inch with h pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters with tail pipes!

@lemondrop33 Im sorry but there is a abig difference between an x-pipe, y-pipe, the x-pipe just interchanges exhaust from side to side to get them in sync to sounds and to help evacuate the exhaust from the motor! A y-pipe brings the two sides together into one pipe!!!!!!!! And an h-pipe is similar to an x-pipe but works a lil different in that it mainly helps with drone int he cab but still means they are seperate pipes all the way bakc! So there you go!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for watching
