In this video I give a complete overview of my 1995 Chevrolet Corvette inside and out. I take the targa top off for the first time in over 6 years and I make the case that a late model C4 is one of the great bargains in the used sports car market today.

Love my '96 LT4. Bought it 2 years ago with 99k on the odometer and put another 4000 on it, absolute pleasure to own and drive. Since replacing the optispark early on, this car has been dead reliable. Couldn't have picked a better first car.

The targa goes in the trunk the other direction. And you can buy replacement visors for that car online. Also rtv for the corners of that hatch smooth it out while it’s drying then put powder on it after dry so the glass doesn’t stick to it.

@@FindtheRightRoad no hes right, the targa goes in backwards, there is a circular hole in the leading edge of the front side of the targa that latches into the clip in front of the hatch latch to keep it secure, have a look next time you have it off

Targa only fits one way. He did it correctly

@@Urdaddy85 he did put it in wrong. The front has a hole that aligns with a pin in the back that secures it in place.

Agree its wrong. Have had 2 C4s. The small hole in lip of curved side is to secure it at the latch. He has it wrong. The back of the top is not secured and it will bounce....risk breaking.

Yeah, so many swap them out - damned if I know why. I think they look great and totally suit the car. And I think it's generally better to keep it original.

have two 95s targa top and convertible.dont ever spray water in the engine bay ,ride in rain or go to auto car washes that spray water from underneath.keep that opti dry.i have the same center armrest love it makes it more comfortable.

And you didn't store the top right!!! It goes in back first and has a hole in the middle front that locks it in! Thats what that lever is for! But that is DEFINITELY NOT right!! Lol

I bought a 93 and the targa top was cracked near the front edge on the driver's side from the owner storing the top the wrong way like this guy.

@b58hustler71 yeah it's unfortunate dealing with previous owners that literally didn't know what they were doing and the new owner has to fix it! I dealt with quite a bit of that with mine more engine wise!

A couple months ago I bought a red 20000 original mile 02' Z28. I brought it over to my uncle's to show him and he loved it. Week later I'm back home 600 miles away and calls me to tell me he just bought a red 30000 original mile 95' Corvette! Next summer is going to be a good time. I remember seeing 84's in showrooms yet I've never even sat in a C4 ever. Now I'll finally get to drive one!

I love the c-4 series. My favourite is 92-96. Excellent cars for sure. Tricky to get in and out unless you practice.

Thanks! I also bought mine last fall (2022) and it is "Polo Green"!!! I really love driving it - my very first Corvette!!! Had problems with it overheating and found out the former owner was pouring "gunk" into the radiator - had it cleaned out by a professional and it is purring like a kitten. The targa top is nice, but hot in the summer - I need to get a proper shade - hopefully that helps.!

Beautiful C4! Hope your enjoying it! Great colour. I try and get the top off my ‘87 as much as I can. Speaking of, although it may fit backwards, the top was designed to store in the trunk with the rear of the top closet to the seats. Right above the tonneau cover handle, you will see a sliding handle with a pogo pin in the trunk. This is in the area of the trunk latch. There is a hole in the front of the roof that this latch fits into. This locks the top securely when driving. But of course it’s your C4, so feel free to put it in the way you like. Just thought I would share. Great cars, love them! Cheers!

NEVER drive a C4 in the snow backwards at high speed going downhill with the stereo blasting "Tie Your Mother Down" by Queen and your 17 year old girlfriend is wearing only a skimpy tube top. Ask me how I know ! ! ! !

I have a white 92 with all black interior with the optional electronic sport buckets. Mine has quite a bit of modifications and huals some ass!! Lol

I don't believe there's better sports car value than the C4. I love my 91: looks great, goes and corners hard, 10 tons of fun to drive. What more could you want?

Nice video. I own a 93 convertible currently. In years past I owned 72 LT1 roadster. I located the build sheet to that car on top of the gas tank, so checked the 93 and found it as well under the top passenger side gas tank strap. Couldn’t recover all of it due to the strap. But have 85% of it.

In 1980 I found my 73 T Top 4 Speed in 927 Dark Blue Build Sheet in perfect Condition glued to the top of the Gas Tank, It was a Base L-48 without any options.

Prices are on the rise for mint low miles and 6 speed manual specially for 91 models . The car is not recommended for amateur drivers due to first gen traction control after 91 or no traction before 91. Its the best feeling to drive a mint manual c4 if have low miles on

I love the Corvette C$, I love this particular colour, the same of my old Camaro, I love lines, design, noise...But I hate to be in Spain and to be unable to find something like this for a reasonable prices. Ay, God gives bread to that one with no teeth

I just found one today at a local car show. Red with red interior, original owner and only 14k original miles. Hes asking 19k. What do you think? Its spotless, just the normal wear on the drivers seat. I have had 7 vettes over the years. I am really considering this one. Glad I found your video. It gave me more insight. Thanks again.

My cup holders work just fine. I can put a large drink in there and it stays put even with spirited driving.

@michaelcsizma3996 I've definitely had to grab a few drinks from toppling over while turning quickly but they also definitely work. If somethings not strapped or bolted in while turning quickly then it's going flying for sure! Lol

You got some incorrect info if love to correct. It’s a 49.5% front weight 50.5% rear weight. Mine comes in at around 2982 with me an a half tank gas. Didn’t watch much further will update with any other info

Lol with 15k you can find a C6 with similar mileage.. 90K-120k you have to be a fool to buy a C4, or C5 intead of a C6.
