Jim we want to thank your wife and you for meeting up with me and letting me film your wife's amazing Mercury.
In todays video, I get to do a walk-around and a review of my friend Jim's wife's 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis GS. We're not hiding anything and showing everything! This car is a super clean and an awesome all original example. This Mercury is not loaded with any aftermarket parts or nick-nacks. What I love about this car is how clean and well taken care of it is. Beside having to replace hubcap inserts on the passenger side and getting a fresh paint job to preserve the Grand Marquis, this is how the car rolled off the showroom floor.. Jim is a real down to earth man and we thank him for his service as police officer and chief for 38 years in our local town of Middlesex, New Jersey. If you have experience and or love for these panthers, make sure to drop a comment or a brief description of anything to help out the Panther Car Community! Pros, Cons and any helpful tips and tricks. Thanks in advance! Enjoy the Video!
Ephesians 2:4-5
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved-

Beautiful car. My mom had one just like it except it was a 96. And hers was the exact same color as yours. Wish they still made these cars. They are by far the most dependable on the road and long lasting. We also had a 2000 model grand Marquis. Both, which was passed down to us from my grandmother, which she has today still a 2009 grand marquee

Beautiful example. These 4.6L motors arn't even broken in until 60K lol. My first Mercury was a 97. I paid $4500 with 128K miles on it, and the car was 21 years old already. I drove the hell outa it and it always looked and ran great. I trailer towed with it as well. Only thing that died on the car was the rear axels, twice :) I parked it with 440K on it. She needed tires, brakes, and the rear axle so I went and bought my current Grand Marquis , a 2000 with 128K miles for $4400 and the same color. Mileage now stands at 280K. Now you know how long a Panther car can last

Ford got rid of this car because of the government mpg mandates, and Americas love of the F150. When I start seeing suv's get better mileage ( which they don't ) then I'll say Ford did the right thing. As of now I think it was a mistake. @@LoveWhatYouDrive

YO, Love !! That's a really clean ride, and it's pretty much the same as the famous 95 MERC, 'cept mine is White, and the Front Door Panels are different. That fellow trusts his mechanic -- but I wouldn't. Crusty, Rusted Battery Terminals = YIKES !! No honest, knowledgable mechanic would recommend 2,500-mile Oil Change Intervals -- it's all about POLLUTION, you know !?? I replaced those heavy Steel Wheels and the heavy Hub Caps with a set of Alloy (made in Italy) Wheels that were fitted on some '91 - '93 Panthers. Mine came from a '92 Crown Vic. Saved about six (6) pounds per wheel. Mine has 181,000 miles -- still gets as-new fuel mileage and peak performance, thanks to a combination of OEM and AfterMarket parts. Of course, restoration and/or modification requires lots of LABOR, but dedicated Car Guys and Wrenchers like me can always do it themselves. It was fun, and I learned ALL about my desert/mountain cruiser. Anybody that has a '95-'97 Grand Marquis GS should go here for Ideas, Tips, & Tricks --- scroll down for Photos: www.mercuryforum.com/forum/grand-marquis-14/1995-grand-marquis-restoration-8937/ 😁

@@LoveWhatYouDrive Your welcome, mine is a tan 1996 LS with a red (I believe it's red at least, could be white, I'd have to look again) pinstripe, all available factory options, 63,000 original miles, no rust, and everything works, it needs a little tlc because it has a few elder scratches, but nothing that isn't easily fixable.

@LoveWhatYouDrive they had plastic intake cross over and the thermostat house cracked while driving, had to replace it, did it myself, while that was off I did new valve cover gaskets. The AC went out, so I replaced the AC compressor. Normal maintenance otherwise, brakes, tires, oil, coolant flush. Things I have on my list are new radiator, shocks and alternater.

Yes you’re right. I remembered after rewatching the video, he said the color name is “willow green” and depending on how the light hits it it looks blue or green. It then they repainted it and that switched things up a little tires the blue more. But in person it looks kind of like a teal color in the light. Very beautiful nonetheless.
