8:45 What's funny and what Rick is talking about, is when Damon Bradshaw said he's going to kick ass. He was referring to the banner I made and was hanging over the triple jump at the Pontiac supercross. It's read "Damon Bradshaw kicks ass" He won that night and signed my banner which I still have today in my basement. He gave me his goggles and gloves. It was an amazing night for me as a 13-year-old kid.

How cool is this blast from the past? Two of my favorite riders.

Ricky Johnson became my idol when he was still a support rider for Yamaha in '82. He should've won the 250cc National title that year. As for Damon, initially, I wasn't a fan because I thought he was on the dirty side but when he won five races in a row in '92, that's when my perspective of him changed. His riding seemed to change that year. I thought he was a lot smoother but also a lot faster. He still had attitude (taking Chicken out at Las Vegas) but when he was on, nobody could touch him. His pass on Kiedrowski in San Diego, his pass on Bayle in Atlanta and the way he took the lead in San Jose are moments that are etched in my mind. Who can forget his pass on Hughes in Washougal '96?

Damon’s younger brother Zach was super fast too and my best friend at the track until he just quit out of the blue. I was told that he couldn’t handle everyone comparing him to Damon

I'm sure if Damon would of won the 92 supercross season everything would of been different but must of took a huge mental tole ,and then McGrath came along ,tough time to of been at your peak
