W140Restorations next project is in the garage! Come along as we head to West Palm Beach to pick up a 1996 R129 SL500 with full documented and stamped Mercedes-Benz Service Manuals. This diamond in the rough sports some dents and dings but the ice cold A/C, original body panels, moldings, and running M119 V8 backed by a 722 Automatic transmission was too hard to pas up. I dub the Project Heidi and tag her with a W140Restorations window sticker before hauling her across the state.

I recognize that building and gas station at Yeehaw Junction. Isn't Hwy 60 a joy! You must be kind of close as I'm settled in @ Winter Haven. Looks like the base for a nice R129 rebuild. Hope those wheels (not a fan of black wheels), find another home.

Absolutely! Yeehaw Junction Florida for the win! I've been through there a million times going back and forth to Miami. Twice looking for W140s and once for a stunning W126. This time a convertible R129. I am grateful for Heidi's good bones and starting point for rebuild/restoration. A LOT more to come for this project and the eternal hunt for a set of pre-merger AMG wheels. Thanks for watching.
