Got the P0300 code, went to Autozone to read the code and their recommended solution was to "Replace Intake Plenum and All Necessary Gasket(s)". Googled it, found this video, followed your procedure and found the middle coil not sparking. Replaced it and the car runs like a top again. YOU DA MAN !!! Saved me a bunch of Benjamins! THANK YOU!

Your videos are the best ever! You have saved me big bucks several tines. It is so awesome that you love what you do, because it shows! You are so totally real; I loved the video you did where you couldn't help but share the story of the booger wiper from school. Ha ha ha I laughed so hard that I almost pissed myself. Thank you so much for doing these videos so airheads like myself are not always at the mercy of expensive garages.

It worked! Thanks again! While I got ya....would you happen to be able to direct me to info on resetting the "Check Engine Soon" light? (Or should it have gone off by itself when I fixed the misfire?)
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos 5 жыл бұрын
That's great! To clear the check engine light you can either go to Auto Zone or Advanced, or similar. They should be able to clear it for you. Another option is disconnect the negative terminal for about 20 seconds.
@GaryTuttle
@GaryTuttle 5 жыл бұрын
uh oh....I had it disconnected for a good 25 minutes at least while I did the install. This means there is another fault that would cause the check engine light? I also noticed that the exhaust sounds louder than it did before all this started. From what you said in video, I think my cat may have gone bad while it was misfiring.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8, I originally had the p0301 code which is cylinder 1, before I took the coil out I checked the wires for spark and they all did, I then swapped coils and still worked, but now I have a p0300. Does anybody have any idea what could it be?

Efron here again. I replaced the coils, module, and spark plugs. It still has a bad idle. I turn the car off and tried to start it again and it wouldn't bust off. @@ramonsandoval1830 The problem with a P0300 is that it can be a lot of things. Vacuum leak, leaking injectors, timing off, fuel pump, internal engine issue, and more. It can be a very difficult code to diagnose and fix, you just have to go over every system that can cause a misfire.

Bummed this didn’t work on my car. All of the coils gave spark. I pulled every wire and the engine seemed fine. The code comes and goes though, with varying times in between. Could be a couple minutes or hours or days between misfires. I did notice that once my engine starts misfiring, all I have to do is unplug and reconnect the wires from the coils and the engine starts running fine for a little bit. Any ideas what the cause could be?
