I run K&N filter with Stage 1 with Yosh full system, 4 degree ignition advancer. Bunch of other mods, de-linked and Gen 2 entire Busa front end. Bike is excellent, just over 63,000 miles. Plain and simple one of the best 1100cc sport tourer bikes ever built. Great video and great bike, with the right tweaks runs with anything current, perhaps not top end but it gets you where you need to go and it is a Honda, fit finish fantastic

Why in God's name would you put a Hayabusa front end on a Honda?

Holy shit this makes more torque than my CBR. I guess that was kinda expected! Would love to own this thing!

A lot of people with k&n filters on carbed blackbird have got problems with the fuelling, generaly the bird prefers oem. Then again maybe you are one of the lucky few that don't have any issues with it. Nice vid, great bike.

What kind of problems with the fuelling do you mean? It was running very rich on full throttle during the dyno run, but I can get 20 km per liter if I shift at 3000 rpm and don't go over 100 kph (60 mph). I'm no expert, but I've read that blackbird owners put the dynojet kit on the carb model to make it run more smoothly. Either way, I can't fault mine in any way.

@@MrSlowpoke1960 better if you combine it with the dynojet kit

The stock ZZR 1100 D makes more power but only loses out on top speed due to the extra weight. if the old ZED was the same weight it would be the faster bike today.

Makes no sence lose topspeed because weight.. weight doesnt matter.. Aerodynamic and power(powerband) matters lol
@danielscrittersandcycles25584 жыл бұрын
The Zx-11 does not make more power than Blackbird. Stock vs. stock a blackbird is more powerful. The C. and D model zx11 use the same engine, same power, same speed.. only ram air is different. And the first gen. Blackbirds beat the zx-11 without even having the ram air advantage a zx-11 had. The later fuel injected, true ram air blackbirds simply waste a zx11. On top of that the blackbird engine reliability, and the bikes fit and finish, less weight, and better aerodynamics and handling are all many many times better than zx11. The blackbird has all the greatness of the zx-11 with none of it's problems!!! It is the better bike, get over it. And this is coming from someone that owned a zx-11 for many years!!! The things a zx11 still has is awesome engine sound and attitude, and super long range touring comfort!!!

@@danielscrittersandcycles2558 Agree completely, and i,m also a big kwak fan having owned 3 zzr 11s ( ONE C AND TWO D MODELS) The bird feels more modern and tight and fit and finish are superior to the big zed. Damn shame birds intake growl will never match the zed though, especially the d model with twin intakes.
