ya he sounds very intelligent and the view of him being "dumb" looks to be a credit tp his acting skills. Keanu>

Devils Advocate is an UNDERRATED FILM! AL PACINO SHOULD GOT NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR FOR THIS PORTRAYAL.
@trynewhardstuffpls95724 жыл бұрын
I think its one of the best movies ever made. And one of the truest. The entire movie is a metaphor. Ego/success/wealth/power/lust over truth and love. And having Pacino as the Devil and Keanu as his son. Pure gold! I remember seeing it in the cinema with my mate and being blown away
@abcdefghijklmnop55874 жыл бұрын
Please... if J. Phoenix got an oscar for the role he played in The Joker then Al Pacino deserves 2 of them for his role in Devil’s advocate. For the ’Eddie Barzum’ monologue itself he should get an oscar.

As long as people watch it and understand its narrative - it's all that matters. Shiny phallic trophies are not that important when we speak about a Giants like Al or Keanu. Those are good to propel "nonames" for better parts and bigger budget movies.
@hw50913 жыл бұрын
@@abcdefghijklmnop5587 that's just pacino doing his thing, but he was good. Also, the public doesn't want to have a dilemma of liking the devil to some extent, and in a fucking movie. So it's no surprise this movie went unnoticed.

I'm sure nowadays Mr. Reeves misses having an interview like this in which he could just talk about acting and movies. I guess he must be sick & tired of talking about the same silly topics he's asked about in every single interview he has: how young he looks for his age, sad Keanu memes and that he's Internet's official boyfriend. I'd never seen an actor as passionate and devoted to its task as him. I love the way he enjoys doing his job.

Well yeah it's a shallow culture in Hollywood they always flatter appeal to vanity there I don't think he's terribly insecure though he's a hard worker not coasting on his looks completely anyway. Listen to him explaining the moral dilemma in the film here he's passionate about it not just gloating about being a star.

I absolutely love this interview. I think this is my very best interview ever. This gentlemen had so many great and open questions and your answers are so exciting and fighting for what you had to be and your true feelings... Best movie. Pacino his facial expressions his mannerisms. When he uses his mouth, tongue, lips. He really makes you think he is the devil. When he says about your few films, Chain Reaction, and you whistle. I thought you were going to snap. One of my avorite movies... Morgan Freeman... What an actor. As I said, LOVE THIS INTERVIEW...💖💖💖💋💋💋🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My take on this was that this was an Irish interviewer. I'm of an Irish back round so I watch a lot of Irish Interviewers. They very often go for the jugular asking a lot of profound and provacative questions. They love a good intellectual argument. Obviously so does Keanu. We don't often get to see actors like this but clearly Keanu was ready for him.I wish he would play more lawyers because I think he has got a fine legal mind. Of course a good script with deep issues would also be important. I loved when he said that high drama in a courtroom and the way that people perceive that does not define the event.We need more philosophical Keanu and more interviewers that ask questions like these.

Fascinating seeing him describe what he perceived as remorse from Al Pacino’s devil, I saw that as well. Just as God wants you to make the right choice without interference, the devil wants you to make the right choice while interfering. What’s beautiful though, it all boils down to doing what’s right. Always.

The interview enjoys the sound of his own voice a little too much. He's asking new question before Keanu has opportunity to answer the previous one, which means he's isn't listening at all.
