Good video, always fun seeing someone else get frustrated at familiar things. Unsolicited advice for anyone reading this: Invest in some jack stands or at least toss a wheel under the car in case your hydraulic jack suddenly and catastrophically fails.

I didn't use a jack stand because if the jack failed it'd just fall straight down and I was aware of that the entire time. But yes, jack stands are absolutely solid advice and if it wasn't just a simple job that doesn't require getting behind or under the tire area then I'd have definitely had one under there. I even use jack stands for disc brake maintenance since the bolts are all on the back and while the car dropping might not kill me, it would definitely be a bad day.

"Daddy's" gonna be missing a foot one day. Hell a cinder block would help even if it too collapsed under the weight at least it's slow it down if it couldn't support the weight. Haha

Lol replace the thermostat for some real fun... hint: removing the passenger headlight helps.

I've replaced the thermostat housing because it was plastic. Stole a metal one off a Ford Contour. Never had to pull the headlight.

@@JodyBruchon do tell how you managed to knuckle bust your way from the front underneathe the bottom to the second bolt head? Remove the fan?

@@JodyBruchon disregard I have a 2008 or something of the sort... The design didn't seem to change much but it does have disc brakes in the back. The t-stat is hidden beneath everything imaginable however making you either take a buncha shit off or remove the headlight to access the bolt heads. And oh the t-stat housing is still plastic. It's Ford's HP laptop hinge of the automotive world. A friggin {muah 💋}... 💎 jewel on gas though so I can't bitch.
