Pretty fair review I'd say, it's not a '83 V65 Magna (My last bike) but it is a handful of motorcycle! I have a '97 VT 1100C2 ACE in Pearl Ivory Cream and Black. The torque figures for this one and the flying V are not that far apart, the shadow pulls like a freight train at incredibly low rpm, exactly how low can't be told because there is no tach on them, which makes you fly by the seat of your pants. The bike will turn easily in the 16' and is extremely agile for it's weight and size. Since I've cranked up the shocks to 5 (I'm 245) I don't scrape the floorboards as much but I still do occasionally. It's very comfortable on long trips, has an awesome exhaust note with the factory pipes, it gets 35 MPG even when being roasted which will give you about 200 kms before reserve, the single crank pin vibration is pleasant and since the handle bars are isolated it doesn't transfer into your arms but the feel of it elsewise is divine. The wide handlebars make counter steering on the corners effortless and to sum things up it's the closest thing to flying while your still on the ground. It is a true classic and any enthusiast would do themselves well to get a ride on one to get the experience. Cheers

Very rad thoughts and I love the “closest thing to flying”!!! So true on this one!!

Thank you very much for riding on the beautiful Honda Shadow 1100, I drive a Honda Shadow 1100 the C2 myself and I am also very satisfied with the motorcycle. However, yours looks nicer than mine but it was fun to drive around the USA for a bit with you.
Thanks for the kind words, the shadows are really cool bike. What color is yours?
@Randolf19589 ай бұрын
I've been driving the motorcycle since 2008, so it had a previous owner and he painted the motorcycle in dark blue, I linked a video under my post, you can see my Shadow there, the video is now 10 years old, best regards USA from Germany.

I use trip odo for gauging gas. Fill up between 80 to 100 miles driven. I have been putting in an ounce of seafoam per gal of gas too to keep the carbs clean (i hope). Is that a single pin crank motor? What is that Gauge on the right bar?

Would you recommend the shadow 1100 for a first bike? I wasn’t sure how it compares size wise to the 750 version.
@MCCJustMotos2 жыл бұрын
Great question. No, I wouldn’t. Mainly because its a little awkward /large to move around in a garage or in tight spots and can make owners uncomfortable. A bit heavy for a first bike. That 750 is probably a better bike in that regard .

La Honda Shadow VT 1100 C2 A.C.E. 1996 est la plus grande réussite jamais réalisée chez un constructeur. J'ai la même depuis dix ans et je ne suis jamais en panne...
