1999 Dodge Dakota Stereo Install Hardwire, No Harness

Here's what I decided to put myself through, so if you didn't buy a harness or accidentally cut the wires to do it yourself - this should get you to where you need to be. Please note: I have seen other videos that do use a Steering Wheel Control Module to keep your lights from being on all of the time. This is an old truck that I'm not terribly worried about, so if that bothers you please do further research! Thanks for checking out my video.
Here's the stereo and mounting system I used:

So for right front (-) I had to use blue/red instead of brown/blue because brown/blue went to left rear (-)

I still can’t get mine to work. I have a 2000 dakota and it would power on but wouldn’t make sound.

I am trying to run a 0-gage power cable. do you have any advice on where to pass the cable through the firewall?

When I have done it before, I punched through the rubber boot around the base of the steering column. It wasn't for this truck though.

I did, my dash backlighting went out and speakers only work on left side did you find a fix??

U and me both for some reason phone connects to it everything comes on but absolutely no sound at all and factory radio worked perfectly any help would be appreciated

Update green wire is your factory amp wire twist it to your red wire or twist the green wire to your antenna wire coming from your stereo factory amp in the truck has to come on before you will get sound
