The design of the exhaust system is one of the main reasons particularly the swelling shape of the exhaust silencer which produces the distinct audible (metallic sound) that we normally associate with a 2 stroke. In fact if you look at a typical 2 stroke exhaust system there are definite similarities there.

+MC Taipan LPG(autogas) is environmentally the best BUT while it has more than 100 octane (motor octane numbers almost the same as the research rating) ,it has less available energy per kg compared to petrol which means less power and also has a leaner stoichiometric burn reaction with an air fuel of 15,5:1 which means that less fuel is used and consequently even less power. By means of efficiency it's the perfect fuel and the engine works exactly the same(with less power throughout). Methanol is great for power and is eco friendly(ethanol is close) but any kind of alcohol fuel is a pain in the butt to use and handle long term. Really petrol is very refined mixture of consistently more than 50 ingredients and additives depending on their availabilty and the fuel requirement of your country to make up a random ingredient mixture of the EXACT SAME PROPERTIES! It's hard to beat that!

+MC Taipan Solar powered HHO creation is possible, engines run on it, its just water when it comes out the exhaust, but it has to be created and burned immediately as a HHO gas is explosive, you can use flame arrestors in series some thing like 5 of them to make sure the flame doesn't get into the tank, but if it does you probably going to die, so its not worth storing HHO its too dangerous, one spark inside the tank and there will just be a big hole in the ground where you used to be. It is however possible to put a membrane in between a solar powered 2 plate HHO splitter generator and just store the hydrogen in a tank and use that as fuel, pure hydrogen is no more dangerous than acetylene which we use all the time and hydrogen will work just like LPG gas, and plenty of cars run on that already. Hydrogen embrittlement on normal valves can be a problem but not if they replaced with stainless steel valves. Burning wood is also carbon neutral, so an efficient steam boiler and turbine or piston engine could also be used, there are plenty of ways to get it done cleanly, people are just lazy and selfish and dont care about the planet or future generations.

Tyler Em I have since found out that the amount of CO2 in the air is 1% so I am not as worried about global warming as I used to be. The trees are starving for CO2 and as we make more the planet will just get greener and it will self regulate as it always has done. I have only ever driven World Rally Champion cars, not the works cars just imitations. 1) 131 Fiat 180 bhp 1000 kg 2) Subaru WRX around 300 bhp 1300 kg - 9L/100 120 km/h in second gear. 3) Subaru Legacy station wagon @ 2 bar boost - not sure of the power but it left 5.7 V8's for dead 4) Subaru Legacy Sedan 290 bhp 1400 kg and now I dont feel so bad when I enjoy driving to work in it every day : )

Exactly who knows maybe even electric may ever throw a hard ball with some super epic electric hypercar I have that much faith in the industry when petrol cars first started out the were terrible just like electric cars which have only been around majorly since 2002 so yeah they'll suck.
