Is your AC blowing hot? Is your heat blowing cold? Before attempting more drastic measures, like replacing the AC refrigerant, or digging behind the dash to check the heater core, try some of these tips! Hi So I have a 2011 GMC Acadia and the driver side vent and 1st vent in the middle of the dash to the left is blowing out out air. If I replace the actuator under the dash will it fix this problem or would have to replace the passenger side as well? thanks.

Thank you so much! You saved me a lot of money. Driver side was blowing cold, but passenger side was blowing hot. I had just replaced the battery and by turning off the HVAC system, turning off the truck, disconnecting the negative on the battery, reconnecting it, and testing, worked great. Thanks again.

YOU ARE ONE OF A 100... I replaced my battery on my Sienna, and all of a sudden, the AC takes 45 sec to a min to start.. All other video kept saying "change the Actuator.. You the ONLY one so far the explained the issue perfectly... I'm subscribing to you channel.. you know what you doing..

Thanks so much. Just put in new speakers and amp. Obviously they disconnected the battery and ac wasn’t working. As you said I disconnected negative, waited 5 minutes and it’s working. You are the man!

What happens if the cold air is coming out on the passenger side and hot air coming out from the driver side

Great vid advice! Same problem in my truck and it was making the flap knocking sound when it was on 5. I turn it down to 4 or lower and no more flap knocking after years of doing this. Now, it is hot on one side when AC is on. Likely actuator like this video explained. Taking it to a shop tomorrow. Thank you.

I have Honda civic 2018 and they said they’ve been having recalls about this. I,just recently put refrigerant and it works better now and gets cool faster than before

Love this videoo i did the first thing he said by disconnecting the ground and i let it sit for maybe an hour just to make sure lol, turned it on and boom it worked fine again. Thabk youu so much i owe you one😅

My passenger side and back seats were blowing hot air, drivers side was cold. I went through the glove box, unplugged the green wire. Plugged it back in and everything works great now. I didn’t have to replace anything. I have a 2014 Lincoln MKX.

I'm about to replace a blend door actuator. After replacement does it need to be calibrated at all or will it self adjust? Should you disconnect the battery after installation? 2012 Kia Optima.

my case, dual zone climate contol, the heater works good on both sides but ac doesn’t cool on driver side but works on all other vents.

Thanks. this was my problem. I also have issue with A/C. 2011 Honda CR-V dual controls. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. No leaks, I've put 3 new compressors in and nothing changes. any ideas?

2010 3.9 v6 chevy impala, driver side vents not blowing cold like the passenger side. Replaced driver side actuator hoping to fix the issue. Still having the same issue. Did 3 different reset/relearn procedures, still same issue... Any ideas? Low freon levels? Any help is most appreciated!

Good video - but from the title I was hoping you would tell us how to diagnose if a constant heat from both sides of the vehicle is either blend door OR temp sensor OR head unit. Seems like there might be a way with a multimeter to check head unit and sensors - was hoping to find that information.

what if I already changed out my actuators and did the battery unplug reset process and I still keep getting hot air one side and cold on the other? I have no idea what is going on with my ac. It is on a 2009 chevy tahoe, this started happening after I changed my bettery.

Yes like your video but it is well I was hoping that you would show actual checking which module door actuator was bad I need some help deciding which one I should replace I have a O6 Ford Freestar which has passenger driver and back so I’m assuming it has three different ones the passenger blows cold and driver side blows hot air even on cold But do not know which one to replace it has so many different ones could you help thanks have a blessed day

I have bought the actual later and it goes above the driver side gas pedal to the right connected to airbox I will put a video on KZfaq and maybe it will help you thanks thanks

I have a '08 Mazda 2.0 car has been giving me hell with the ac. Blew 2 New compressors in 1 month. Finally took my car to an AC car repair and had the system replaced compressor, dryer, and expansion valve. Everything was going smooth for the first 3 days. 4th day driver side and middle vents started blowing hot and the pass side was freezing cold I am so annoyed at this point

On my car the only blend door that motor driven is the temperature control the rest are controlled by engine vacuum

I came across with the same problem, when i was turning heat on the passenger side, i was able to see the gears rotating but when I turned to the cold side it didn’t turn. So, will it be the actuator issue or something else?

in my car when I turn Ac, the passenger side blows cabin air temp or outside temp (not hot air) but passenger is cold air . When I switch around air flows up middle or floor everything seems to work . Does this mean the actuator is working properly? Thank you

I have a question about my 99 accord v6 204k mi my heater will blow hot heat just fine and stay hot when really cold outside but when temp outside warms up heater wants to blow cold it’s full of coolant and tanks on max line changed my mode actuator cause had no selection over vents and no flow through 2 center vents it’s climate controled is this normal for this to blow cold when warm outside places say it could be a clogged heater core blows good n hot heat when cold outside

How about if the driver side is a little cold than the passenger side because the passenger side is very cold but the passenger side is a little cold only and when I check the temp in monitor or switch is the same temp I change condenser,compressor,expansion valve but still the same what do think is the problem ? By the way the car is Silverado 2016 model thankyou in advance

Hi, I have a 2002 GMC Yukon Xl 1500 with a digital heater/ AC control module. It only gives me heat at max setting, so I have 2 options: cold or very hot (nothing in between). I've replaced the actuator at the passenger side but without succes. What could be the problem ? Thanks.
