If you fill the whole plate you can get quite a bit done for a two minute change. Nice!

Great vid! Bambu have lots of documentation but honestly they do a bad job of explaining the simple stuff, like how to pause on a layer by right clicking the slider. I have been wanting to do hueforge prints and now i know how they pause for manual changes.

You don't have to turn the heat up to unload or load. It will heat up automatically.

When I try to unload, I use to get an error. Did they fix that with the latest update? I checked and you’re correct, thanks for the correction.

Great video, as I was watching I saw you had a stand for what appears to be a very old Iphone, probably 6 or 7. Using it for handy. what a great idea. I happen to have an old 6 that will work just fine. Would you be able tp point me in the right direction to get the files to make that cool phone enclosure? thanks again for the great video!

Here’s the link to the mount: makerworld.com/en/models/66386#profileId-69709 But I’ve changed since this video to the XTouch screen. Just Google it, it’s pretty nice.

So, on the P1P can i use my iPhone or my Ipad as a second big screen for the printer? The screen was something that I was thinking about to buy the X1 (I dont like P1P small screen), but now, im thinking about to get the P1P

I am able to swap filament, but when I click on resume, nothing ever happens, just sits there, so I cut the power off, then back on, and resume print, and it works......ughhhhhhh

Yeah, but how do you manually color swap for objects that is not on its own layer? I have an inset part that needs to be color and it is surrounded by a different color which is at the same layer hights for 1mm in total. I cant seem to find how to do this manually.
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY Жыл бұрын
That is very difficult and time consuming. You would have to pause in the slicer at every color change to do that. I would suggest getting an AMS for that.

Lucky You! I tried to do the same thing and it took a total dump on me. After I unloaded the filament it just kept telling me to verify the filament is unloaded but there were no options on the screen or in studio. Desperately trying everything to save the print nothing would work no matter what it just said the printer is busy every button press. Finally after about 45 minutes of trying I just said the f*** with it. And then of course trying to cancel the print is another nonsense. This was such an easy procedure with a prusa.

Now I'm seeing people having success with the handy app. I really feel I don't need three devices to control my f****** printer. It should all be able to be done through the printer. Not the printer and a combination of going to my computer and then getting my phone. 13 days left to decide if I want to keep this p1p.

@moswald14

@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY was trying it through the load/unload options in the settings and I was getting weird inconsistent results. it would say it cant, machine is busy, but then it would heat up to 250, purge, then go down to 142 and hang, requiring me to cancel the print. I got it to swap filament once with the load/unload options and the nozzle went back down to 190 but when it went back to print, it didn't extrude anything.
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY Жыл бұрын
@@moswald14 What you do is click “unload”, it then moves the hotend to the back while it heats up. It then moves to the front and then back and that’s when you grab the filament and pull while it unloads. To load, click load and then it does the same thing but you need to push in the new filiment until it stops before clicking “load”. Then when the hotend move back to the poop chute, you give the filament a little push for an inch or so and the extruder should grab it. Then wait for the app to come up with a pop up to retry or done, click retry until you see the new color coming out and then click done. It should push some more, cut and empty the poop chute and you’re ready to print.
@moswald14
@moswald14 Жыл бұрын
@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY that's what I did and it would say something like "cannot perform task, printer busy" I forgot, but it would do the purge anyway and hang. I got success finally by manually retracting and purging the filament. you can manually press the cutting arm before you retract for a nice cut end

@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY Жыл бұрын
You should get a pop up that ask to retry or done. You keep hitting retry 3 times to ensure the new filament is grabbed by the extruder and then you click done. Once it’s completed you close the pop up and then resume printing.

If yours is a P1P, I opened a ticket with Bambu Lab and they think it’s a firmware issue that should be fixed with the next release. I’m also seeing a layer shift now with any filament change.

@@Edramon53 works great but only doing it this way (changing completely at a layer). Trying multi color throughout a layer would be horrible because of all the pausing. I’d get an AMS if you plan on that. I’m getting one for sure.

@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY Cheers, will just be putting text on top of the print (originally hoped to do a logo, but the logo was too complex for OnShape). I decided to make a cut out in the model, so I can print the insert in a separate colour from the model, then use this technique to put the text on. OnShape is what I know best, but since the insert is such a small and simple part I might see if another cad program can handle the logo graphic better.
