Today i show you the correct procedure to fill the engine + transmission full of oil (escecially if has been completely emptied due to been stripped).
I also show how to bleed the fuel system after replacing the fuel filter or like me filling the pump so the engine will start.
Coolant bleed procedure to get rid of all the air in the cooling system to prevent an air lock.
Finally i can start the engine after replacing the entire wiring loom and oil pump.
Alot of work has been carried out to get to this stage so was rather excited to get it going again
Enjoy 👌

Apologies for everyone that liked and commented on the origional video. I only realised after that it was a very poor quality picture so i removed and uploaded again and all seems well now. 👌

Good job Mate. Those MT82 gearboxes prefer a verygoodquality 100% synthetic gear oil (Castrol Syntrans £20/litre) with a little LSD friction modifier to avoid notchy gear changes of those synchhrorings, especially 2nd when cold. It looked like you put winter window cleaner in as engine coolant. The correct colour of the OAT coolant is a pinky orange. TEXACO long life. Keep up the good work. I will have to change the clutch in my 2009 130 DC HCPU soon 😎

Thank you. Haha yes it dose look like screenwash! I am putting that in for now as i am going to flush the cooling system and replace with the pink long life antifreeze, just a tempoary thing till i know everythings ok. Same with the gearbox and especially the tranfer box as the oil that came out was a horrible brown colour so that definately needs flushing out after a few month of it been on the road!

I can highly recommend LOF Clutches for your 130 all his details are in part 2 on my channel. Very good quality parts and great to deal with!

@@lifes.projects Thanks for the info on LOF clutches. I intend using my 130 for long distance African desert trips so have opted for Clutchfix heavy duty clutch with uprated torsuon springs and not the road spec LOF as my engine is uprated and the GVM will be 3000kg. Last thing I want is to slip the clutch and have to replace again due to soggy springs... Keep those videos coming.

You look well chuffed with yourself Tom.. my day will come!! Thanks for showing the bleeding process on the fuel, In have bought the little hand pump type so we'll see how i get on. At the end of the video you mention no lights on the dash.. but you blocked the EGR?? I thought you'd get a light on?

Thank you. Just relieved as its a totally new loom that i hadnt seen been tested. Doubt you will be long as your making good progress on yours! Yeah it will only come on after a drive down a motorway when the engine is at a constant RPM till the ECU realises its not recycling gasses.

Is that the oil filler pump of the type sold by Fourby? If so iit's rubbish. More oil escapes past the spindle than gets delivered. There are few good oil delivery pumps. I have three which don't work (Fourby, Sealey, Clarke). I finally got the Clarke to work when I modified it by squeezing in an extra O ring around the piston.

Glad you noticed. I cut open my cat and removed the inside making a decat. It has mid delete and soo i will be removing the rear silencer for a full straight pipe. It sounds really nice. Abit like a more refined 300tdi

Nicely done, have you bled the clutch slave yet? I had a hell of a time bleeding a completely dry system like yours. I even tried pressure suction on the slave and didn't work well for me (no pedal), finally uses a preasure push pump on the master and the pedal started to finally firm up. Interested in your experiences.

Thanks Jason. Yes i am a few jobs infront of the videos so just caught up with the editing. Yes mine was pretty straight forward but i gravity bled it first. Sounds like you turned the seals in the master, if left with no fluid in like mine its always better to gravity bleed them first as the seals go hard, so you need to fill up the master and leave for 10 mins to lubricate the seals otherwise they struggle to bleed up. In some cases they can be damaged but sounds like the pressure bleader put them back into shape. Lucky you!
