Have to say, I use this knife daily and I love it, it functions well as a utility knife and I also carry it for defensive purposes. After carrying a regular balisong for a little over a year it was hard to get used to opening this knife but I eventually got it, you just have to keep in mind this knife was not designed for tricks. I love this knife and would recommend it to anyone.

For backwards pocket clips, I just put the knife into the main pocket and clip it to the little coin picket or whatever it is, so its clipped and secure, not hanging out but facing the right way. Give this a try if you can't or just don't want to flip the clip. Hope that helped.

I have to ask, because I have looked everywhere I can. Is there a place I can get a fixed, double edged karambit for under $50? All the karambits I have seen ore single edged, even though from what I know, the traditional ones are double edged. The ones I have seen that are double edged are either falsely advertised as such, over $50, or custom made and over $200. Why is it so difficult to get a double edged karambit for cheap?
@KBar66611 жыл бұрын
you could also totally sharpen up that swedge, and have a double edge like many fixed blade Kbits. Which is nice specially for revearse grip tactics.

So because of the locking mechanism is it a balisong or a folding knife. My state does not allow the carry of balisongs so that would throw my desire out the window.

OK i am from NYS and i know there was a repeal on balisong's illegality because they aren't considered a gravity knife anymore... now i was wondering... would this thing be considered a gravity knife? Because of the locking mechanism and it not being a true balisong? I am interested in picking it up but i'm wondering about it's availability and even being ok to carry in NYS..

Jeff, how practicable is it to use a ballisong for EDC? I like camping, Survival, And bushcraft. I'm wanting to try something new, And my birthday is coming up on the 14th! And I'd much rather take an opinion from an expert. My typical kinda knife is just a pocket knife or survival knife. Right now, My EDC knife is a Gerber Bear Grylls folding sheath knife and a Gerber obsidian. (I like Gerber(: ) But please reply! thanks in advance!

This is interesting, I thought you would do tricks with a Karambisong, but it seems more like a karambit that you could put in your pocket, without stabbing yourself.
@9SS94Cr11 жыл бұрын
Got this knife months ago and played with it a little bit. Very interesting design. It could be the first production bali karambit, but not the first ever been made. Warren Thomas made some custom bali karambit, and I think those are superior designs than this one. My mean issue with Vuja De is the ring is one the bite handle, makes the opening fairly awkward. Thomas puts the ring on the safe handle, which would make the opening easier and faster.
