Abasov is a great player in his own right, but this tournament really shows that top GMs are on a different level. Every lose I reviewed of his so far in the candidates shows how his opponents were able to execute slightly more accurate moves and ideas that lead to decisive advantages. Chess is such a grueling game.

9:45 The white attack would be strong if after B:h6, white take gh. Then Qg4+ Kh8, R:f7 Q:e5 Rd5. Or am I missing something?

Incredible how Gukesh passed from a seemingly dominated position to a really dominating one. Was Gukesh so strong or Abasov so weak?
