Hey there, I'm Whooped! I've always been driven by a competitive spirit, which has taken me through some interesting paths. I've earned three master's degrees along the way, which means I've accumulated too much student loan debt, but hey, it's all part of the journey.
I've been a competitive Madden player, a business owner, a football coach, and even worked at a psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. I've found a new passion in Mechabellum, where strategy, competition, and constant learning are key. I'm not the best player out there, but I thrive on the competitiveness Mechabellum offers. Regarding your comment about anti-missile tech being unpopular on the Mustang: it's because while they shoot down missiles they don't do normal attacks which is super wasteful since Mustang are some of the highest DPS units in the game. Stormcallers can be pretty much ignored most of the time, if you find them problematic just plop down crawlers to draw their aggro and beacon them left-right, side-down or back-forth to make Stormcallers use up 2-3 volleys on a target they can't hit. This is plenty of time for your other units to get in range and deal with them. Edit: Didn't notice Sparty already mentioned that :P

I get where you're coming from. You have a great point about maximizing their DPS. Personally, I just love the tech still. I actually like that it keeps them from running up as fast. I won't tech into it unless they have more than just a couple squads and I feel like Storms are part of their win condition. Ah, yes, the Crawler wiggle :D

Sick car, but also good decision. Not only deprecating value, but you need to keep paying insurance just to keep it ride-ready whenever you DO need to go. It's a total sink if it's not being put to work, yeah.

I'm 1700 MMR and wouldn't mind helping you think through a few decisions if you'd ever like! Things like, 1. If you knew he was going melter, why go with Rhino, and then further investing into the Rhino with Techs (when you only have 1) and he's doing almost zero damage. You could've sold that rhino for a lot more $$$ 2. Stormcaller placement. If your opponent put a single pack of crawlers on the front line with mobile beacon it would have completed negated the crawlers. 3. In the next free unit round you selected fortresses and placed them almost directly in line with the melters. 4. So many techs on the mustangs. The reason higher level players don't go anti missile on the mustangs is because, like in this situation, you got the mustangs doing too much and actually decreasing their effectiveness. AA, anti missile, chaff clear, etc. Etc. etc. Granted, it all worked out, but correcting these sorts of opportunities will help you push further up the ladder.

Oh, and why the investment in +ATK? Your units were already "overkilling" the opponent. If anything, +DEF would've been more beneficial.

My thought was that I'd get it for the mustangs to help burst down some of the larger units.

I appreciate the feedback, Sparty. To your first point, my thought was that if I gave it Whirlwind, it'd clear the flank quickly so my units on that side could join the real fight faster--and to also make him a tanky boi so my dps could do work. In hindsight, probably not my best decision given his Melters. You're right in that I should have sold it. I need to work on selling units more that aren't helping. To your third point: yeah, my Fortress placement was terrible haha. Lastly, regarding the Mustangs: I love AM on the Mustangs. I feel like it gives them so much added utility. I don't use WF, so the only other AM options I have are Sabers and static defense. The primary reason I like it is because Sabers can be EMP'd very easily. It also helps keep the Mustangs back a little bit (they don't run forward as fast). I won't go AM on Mustangs if I feel like I can avoid it, but I do like the tech. Am I right? Probably not. But I still like it :) In all seriousness, thanks so much for the feedback. I didn't even notice the terrible Fortress placement until you pointed it out.

Yes, selling off units that are underperforming helps immensely. Especially like this rhino, it’s just feeding XP to the enemy board plus itd give a huge boost. Personally not a fan of the large subtitles. I find them distracting from the gameplay. The editing in general is really improving over the course of these videos though. Keep it up. 👍

Why have the subtitles? I know there is a certain type of video creator that do subtitles well but they tend to be heavily edited videos into sort of snappy compilations. This games is much more slow and thoughtful. You would have to change your whole editing style to make it work. Personally I like watching it without subtitles because I can concentrate on all the little units. That style might suit another game in the future.

I like your content man, but the intro is annoying. You can’t put this in a sleep or tv playlist because of it. There’s a reason no large KZfaqrs do intros.
