I am not comparing between 1st one and second one....but first one hits different....it makes me nostalgic😌❤️.....and reminds me what an awesome movie it was back in 2010.....it makes me realise l was sooo young🥺🥺....l was in class 7 and it really gives a nostalgic feeling😌❤️❤️❤️❤️ Second one was also good though....everyone did an awesome work❤️❤️😌❤️

Credit where credit's due, this movie had really good VFX for its time. The cloud of mobile phones was well-animated for its time, and the prosthesis that Amy Jackson wore was also reasonably good. Ditto for the Heads up Display, which felt sci-fi, without being illogically covered with info. Also, the fact that Dr. Vaseegaran could get approval for Nila (despite the fiasco of Chitti going rogue) also has a diagetic reason as he stated: Nila was built strictly adhering to Asimov's three laws of Robotics, and was NOT designed for physical combat or fighting. Thus, the authorities can approve the robot without the risk of the robot going rogue, as even the feelings cannot override the Asimov's laws (as per the programming of Nila). However, the story lacked the intensity that the first part had, being more of an external story, and the lack of flaws in the technology (as was shown in the first movie).

@@pirateeagleofficial This movie came out in 2018, and VFX tech has jumped a massive level in the three years that followed, with computers being able to generate realistic ray tracing effects, increasing the realism of CGI and VFX from a computer software. If a company could properly harness the power of today, it would be BRILLIANT.

Yeah, NGL, I didn’t think much of the film when it released coz I wasn’t feeling the emotional gravity Enthiran had, but now watching it after over 4 years with a fresh perspective, I can see my bias, get past them and enjoy the film for what it is - a high-concept (yes, high-concept) sci-fi actioner with some social messaging (even tho I do feel the execution of said message is kinda frivolous).

Spoiler - Except for the quality of VFX in the climax fight and taking the ghost, demon kinda concepts into the picture, this movie was fantastic to say he least. I would have loved it even more if they told something like, "Aliens in space with negative Aura got seriously affected by us sending highly charged positive signals. They traced back the source and found earth where they saw Akshay ending his life right in front of them. They used Akshay's negative Aura waiting to take revenge, gave him the ability to attract phones and used his vengeance against humans". This would have been scientifically more fun and would have made the plot even more interesting. More importantly it could have given a perfect setup for a part 3 with a much much bigger scope.

one more thing, VFX company who was first appointed left unfinished vfx work thats why some parts of movie looks dull in vfx work. Later on another company finished vfx which is not good due to time limit and budget issue.

Those are electro magnnets. They were in Part 1 also while saving people from fire. Difference is that vfx is not done properly in 2.0 which makes it look really bad and illogical

Think logical, If it was electro magnetic which could carry Chitti’s weight may be around 100kg minimum considering a robot is made of Metals, So when the elctro magnetic is that strong it can catch any metal near by, the way chitti was flying is zup zup not even seconds and how he avoided other metals in the near by area is quite illogical…
