Facing the rear always hits harder. Unless you have a side port or seal it completely off. But back in the day everybody faced the box to the rear

back but would like to try facing forward. i had to take the entire back seat out to get the box in. maybe when it starts warming up ill switch it around to see what difference it makes

sounds good! When I had my 93 Ford Mustang LX hatchback. I had the subs facing the hatchback glass. It used the car as a box as well. Dynamat might help on the vibrations. The Subs I had was Pioneer IMPP V.C.C.S. competition 12" subs. You could use them as free air, ported, enclosed.

Very nice system and set up clean. You can tell they are getting choked in that smaller box though. Prolly would have benefited just keeping that size box and running 2 12's

i face mine towards the cabin and my layout is similar to his and i can still fold my seats up and put my kids and grceries in it lol

I have a 2015 Chevy Impala with 2 Deaf Bonce 305s facing towards the cabin. Box is tuned to about 26hz and you can hear me beatin down the block. I prefer it faced towards the cabin, simply because, I hate trunk rattle of all kinds

If box is sealed I always prefer facing them towards the back.

Where did the box for the impala come from ? I was skeptical about 15s in my trunk at first because I didn’t think they’d fit . I have the same car .

That’s just it, it won’t slam as loud I’ve tried it. Pointing back to me will almost always slam a bit harder.

P.S.A. you should never open your trunk while playing full tilt.... it'll unload your subs and blow them

That's a sealed box. Unloading is not possible. Edit: it has a side port

Need more highs n mids n better high amp my guy but bass slapn tho👍🏾 i got same two skars in mine but i also have two sun down 12's and 28 highs wit water proof speakers n my grill all on a alphosonick 2200 class a/b and a big ass audiopipe class d on my bass so its a totally different ball game🤷🏾‍♂️#basshead

I've got 2 15s in the trunk facing the cabin seats down. Would it matter that much on a sealed box which way it's facing? Mines ported and haven't yet tried it towards the rear.

direction can affect the SPL. My ported box in my hatchback had the sub facing up. i bet it would be louder if you flipped them around

Aero port on the side of box, look at 1:10 - 1:25 range you see it

I have a similar malibu and used a audio control lc2. Wired to the front speakers, not the rear. I think its great.and i like it has different settings and a clipping light to notify you.
